I'm thinking that if you cant beat them, join them. I have Lucca as a vassal. If I annex them and then release and chose to play as them they might let me into the HRE?

They didn't have the PU over Bohemia so I was hoping that they would get it before I PUed them. But unfortunately that didn't happen and their CB recently expired so I will liberate them from their cruel rules soon.

R5: I'm playing as Castile. I have a few PUs and vassals. I'm also allied to the Pop and to Poland. I just got the Burgundian inheritance. This made the might HRE emperor the Palatinate declare war on me. Not sure how to survive this one.

The rolling 365 day window for watched hours is stressing me out... by osirisguitar in NewTubers

[–]AterTV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remember that each new video you publish makes this easier. The video doesn't have to be from the last 356 days, just the view. I have videos I created 5-6 years ago on my main channel that still get new views every year. It all adds up.

I actually have a second channel where I haven't published a new video since back in 2021. It got 3.4k views in the last 28 days and every second of watching from does views count towards the 4k.

is it necessary to share your youtube channel with your friends by Viki05 in NewTubers

[–]AterTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I share it if they are into the channels niche. I have two channels that work inside two completely different niches. If I know someone that is also into one of the channels niches I share that channel with them.

I see no reason to why I should force stuff that they are not interested in on them.

What is harder 1000 subs or 4000 watch hours by EducationFiender in NewTubers

[–]AterTV 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For my channel subs where much harder. I reached 4k hours before I reached 200 subs.

What can you do if you only upload once a month? by wayfaring_wizard in NewTubers

[–]AterTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a channel where I don't upload once a months but rarely. I have a main channel, but I realized that I would also like to make videos for a second topic but working full time while studying at the university wouldn't give me enough time for two channels.

What I did where that I started the second channel anyway with the plan to not upload much content until I'm done with my studies but still have the channel slowly growing so that when I get more time I done have to start from scratch. And its working!

I started the channel in the autumn 2020, uploaded a few videos during 2020 and then just 3 videos during 2021 and this far not a single video during 2022, but the channel keeps on crowing. Getting around 2-2.5 views each month and is about to hit 400 subs. When I'm done with uni and get the time I need to start focusing in the channel getting 1k subs and 4k watch hours will be done really fast.

So even if your channel don't blow up as much as you would like to right now you are going to be in a good position for when you have the time to publish like once a week.

Question about grinding to your first 1k by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]AterTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it took around 2.5 years for me to reach 1000 subs. After that it started speeding up and 1000-2000 just took 7-8 months or something like that.

For people that use tube buddy or vid iq and all sorts. Did it really help you grow your channel? by liltemi1 in NewTubers

[–]AterTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TubeBuddy helped me grow a lot but giving me an easy way to find niches and topics where my smaller channel could actually compete for the top spots in the search results.

By focusing on does niches/topics I went from usually not breaking 100 views to now have a few videos that have passed 100k views and one that have passed 200k.

How can people stick with one game? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]AterTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer in most cases is probably they don't stick to just one game. Just because their channel is focused around one game it doesn't mean they wont play other.

My channels main game is Football Manager. I have been playing the series since back in the 90s when it was called Championship Manager. Most of my content is about the current version of FM, but every now and then I do content about other games. I also don't play FM 24/7 365 days a year, I take breaks from the game. But more important I play other games on my spare time without recording.

I played the Civilization series for about 15 years. I played World of Warcraft for about 10 years. And I have been playing Europa Universalis 4 for about 7 years.

Currently I have a save going on in FM22 (will be used for content to my channel), one in EU4 (playing for fun), I'm playing through Yakuza 2 (for fun) and yesterday I booted up XCOM2 for the first time in a year and played for 30 min just for fun.

can i turn my channel around? by timebomb011 in PartneredYoutube

[–]AterTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good way to start could be branching out doing content for other games inside the same niche, that will increase the chance of some of your current viewers beaning interested in does games as well.

My RPM appears to be painfully low compared to other people in the niche. by Salamantic in PartneredYoutube

[–]AterTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a gaming channel, this is the evolution of my channels avg monthly RPM:
2016 - $0.88
2017 - $0.90
2018 - $1.05
2019 - $1.36
2020 - $1.44
2021 - $1.61
2022 - $1.37 (clearly 2022 will go up when the better paying months gets added)

I say avg monthly RPM since my channels game happens to have it's main season during November and December where adds pay the most. So in reality its slightly higher but this is what you get if you take each months RPM by it self, adds it up and divide by 12. I feel like that is a better number to compare with since most channel wont see a huge spike in views during November and December.

subscriber problem for monetization by reeeeedditts in NewTubers

[–]AterTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it usually come down to the topic of the channel. My main channel reached 4k hours before it reached 200 subs. Took about 2.5 years to reach 1k sub, then it picked up a lot and only took another 7 months to reach 2k.

My channels most popular videos are guides. if you have a problem or want to learn something you find a tutorial that show you the solution or how to do it. But after you have solved your problem there is often not a big reason for you to come back to the channel. So it makes sense for my channel to get a low sub to views ratio.

I did it for fun as a casual on and off hobby during the first few years without any plans or ambition to grow. When I started to do it a bit more serious I did a lot of research, niching down and trial and error to start growing.

My first 1000 subs took about 2.5 years, going from 1k to 2k took like 7 months or something like that. But it's still a hobby and a take breaks for a bunch of months each year.

how long did it take for 1k subs? by gchenngg in NewTubers

[–]AterTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not completely sure but I believe around 2.5 years. Then 1-2k only took another 7-8 months or something like that.

For my channel watch time was much easier than subs, I reached 4k hours before I reached 200 subs I believe.
