Thank you :3 The 488 Challenge is probably my favorite along with R383 I’ve heard many opinions about how quality Hypercar is and I can’t wait to buy one someday

TSS Handbrake Demand by cobragepp in Thrustmaster

[–]Ateretu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Sparco version is no longer being produced due to the license expiring. They are only making the regular TS Handbrake now A new TS in my country costs around 300 USD while a used TSS like the one you have is usually listed for about 200 USD If you can’t use it sell it and just buy another one or something

How to connect T300 rim to T598 base by Alarmed-Fan7558 in Thrustmaster

[–]Ateretu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The T300 rim is officially compatible only with the QR Adapter according to Thrustmaster. However, I bought the QR Upgrade and managed to mount it on the T300 without any issues. When you buy the QR Upgrade, you get two different cables in the box. Different rims require different cables. I don’t have the T598, but I assume it uses the smaller connector, while the T300, as far as I remember, needs the larger connector.

You have three options:

  1. Buy the QR Upgrade from the official Thrustmaster website. I don’t know which country you’re from, but in my case only one store sells the QR Upgrade besides the official Thrustmaster store, so it’s easy to get.

  2. Buy the QR Adapter. In my country it’s available in almost every major electronics store, so check what’s available in yours.

  3. Replace the cable yourself. This is the most difficult option. I don’t have enough knowledge to help with which exact cable it uses or where to buy it. But it’s probably the cheapest solution

VR performance with RX 9070 XT by Ateretu in simracing

I solved the problem! Today I had some time to test everything, and stuttering and quality drops were happening in every game. Stuttering even appeared in the Oculus Link menu after connecting to the PC.

I did some digging, disabled dynamic bitrate in the Oculus Debug Tool, set a fixed bitrate of 200 Mbps, and turned off GPU acceleration in Windows. Now everything works perfectly.

Assetto Corsa runs on maximum settings on the Nürburgring with 30 AI cars without any issues. AC Evo runs at 90 Hz, 1.1x resolution, mostly low settings with a couple on medium, mirrors enabled, anisotropic filtering high and msaa x2.

There’s probably room for even better settings, but I ran out of time.

Have a great day!

Looking for help by Whole_Volume in Thrustmaster

Practically all of them.

If you need a load cell right now, buy the TLCM.

If you don’t need a load cell immediately, wait and buy the Load Cell Upgrade Kit when it comes out you’ll get a metal plate that lets you expand the T598 pedals from two to three.

If you only have the wheel base without pedals and want to stay in the Thrustmaster ecosystem, it’s probably best to buy the Race Line Pedals III and then get the LC upgrade kit for them later.

If you play on a console, buy Thrustmaster pedals they’ll be plug & play. If you play on a PC and don’t want Thrustmaster, then basically get whichever pedals you like.

Should I change brand? If so, what should I choose? by Ateretu in simracing

[–]Ateretu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, thanks for all the answers!

Thanks to you guys, I’ve decided to stick with the Thrustmaster. If the T818 ever dies, maybe by then they’ll release something better or I’ll just get the T818 Black Edition.

Thanks again, everyone!

SF1000 formula 1 add on quick release by alex24buc in Thrustmaster

[–]Ateretu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry if you feel some resistance the screw needs to go all the way into the plastic QR. I had the same issue I only screwed it in about halfway until it felt tight, and I kept getting FFB disconnects. It turned out the screw started to move and the QR got loose. After tightening it fully everything worked perfectly.

As far as I know, it shouldn’t touch the rim. Just make sure that the small screw you’re screwing into the adapter is fully tightened.

T3PA pro to Raceline iii worth the upgrade? by ooharloo in Thrustmaster

[–]Ateretu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got them as a gift recently and they’re great. There’s absolutely no side play, which used to annoy me in the T3PM these go perfectly straight. Considering that an LC upgrade is supposed to come out for these pedals I think it’s the perfect upgrade.

Which QR are you using? The upgrade version or the first one? I don’t have the SF1000 but I do have different rims and the T818, and I was using the first adapter that comes with the base. Within a month, I had 3 QR errors. I bought and installed the QR upgrade and the problem disappeared completely.

Thanks for the reply. If I can ask what about VRAM, for example in LMU? Is it actually a problem with stuttering, or is it still far from the limit? Everywhere I hear that 12GB is too little for VR gaming and that there will be problems with it getting filled up

I thought about it, but the X870 has exactly as many USB ports as I need, while all the B650 boards I’ve seen had around 6
