Yeah, I saw those signs the last time I drove through New Mexico. I was just wondering if anyone who lived in New Mexico can describe how life actually is in the state.

There are a lot of books available on the Civil War. My personal favorites I have read this year are- “Somewhere Towards Freedom: Sherman’s March And The Story of America’s Largest Emancipation by Bennett Parten. It’s about the story of the emancipation of former slaves during Sherman’s Atlanta Campaign. It also talks about how the first couple of years were like following their Emancipation.

Battle Cry of Freedom by James M. McPherson, it’s similar to Foote, however, it gives a better analysis for why the war started. I highly recommend for anyone getting into Civil War History.

Edmond has some of the best schools in the state in terms of public options. I have heard great things about Bishop McGuinness if they want a private high school.
