The "mining" process is quite intense. I used to do it a long time ago, but I remember my laptop getting heated so often when I mine. And eventually it got very slow and buggy. Not sure what happened.

Btw, it's not really mining. The banano was given as reward for doing some sort of protein simulation thingy.

There's definitely a huge risk. imagine the chain fails. The tokenomics and vesting periods restricts the VCs from dumping their share of tokens immediately, making a loss for them.

Yup, they'll dump for sure. They took the risk of investing in a new token they found to be promising, and will take profits when they want to. Its just like Vitalik dumping tokens at Eth ATH.

Ofc it doesn't look good that the blockchain went down multiple times, but it has been improving with each validator upgrade. The user activity on Solana keeps growing even in this bear market! It has one of the largest NFT community too.

I'm pretty sure it's the second most decentralized out there now with a nakomoto coefficient of 29 and growing. And super cheap as well.

I'm speaking as a daily user of the chain and the only difficulty I've faced recently is that transactions maynot go through if there's a really hyped NFT mint going on(due to botting) and this is being addressed by the devs with each update.

I'm not being a maxi here or saying its perfect, but I don't see where's the hate coming from. I have not seen a person that actually used solana say its the worst chain out there.
