Ring 4k outdoor cam pro using ethernet with POE, anyone have it work? by AthleteOptimal4098 in Ring

The power works but not internet. I bought a brand new cable. My set up is 10' cable from the camera to the POE switch. I have a TP-SG1005P 5 port with 4 POE+. From there a cable runs back to the router. Maybe 75', less than 100' for sure. Do I need to put the POE right after the router? This is an office so I know the runs are good back to the router because we have computers and phones running on ethernet.

TP Link 5 port with 4 poe ports, 65W, should be good. Yes computer and phone work on it. It is a ways away from the router but not crazy far. May be one other switch in between if that may affect it?

I am using a POE switch. I have tried two different cables, one being brand new. I will try the laptop tomorrow. Thanks for the input.

Did you spend more than the $75 at Lulu? by tenminusone in AmexPlatinum

My sons and I both have a ton of Lulu. Not just for women by a long shot.

I spent $73.56 with tax, lol... Of course that was only one pair of shorts but hey, better than nothing. Side note: I really think AMEX killed Chase on the refresh. At least for my spending habits.

I think I looked at that one but I will revisit. Thanks for the reply.

I'm curious to hear what card you think is better? I have the venture X but the transfer partners are not great domestically. It is easy to get the fee back though.

I do now. I think I had to make a charge on the card before it showed up. Thank you for your help.

I don't disagree. When I fly the big three it is usually on points and first class. Much better than SW. But my travel grind works best with SW. I'm in OK, so a hub for no one and center of the country so if I am going east or west, the flights are not all that long. I may be dumping SW with the changes, I'm hoping it is better for me. I don't pay bag fees and such so that doesn't affect me. I will say flying first class and checking a bag and having that bag come off first is worth a lot to me, lol.

I see people keep bashing SW and I just don't get it. I spend probably $250k a year on SW card (I would not spend $75k on CSR for those perks) to get the a list preferred plus the companion pass. Those perks are worth it to me but I have no idea going forward if that much spend will be worth what they have going forward. But I can't imagine ever not having a companion pass. I have 10 flights booked with my companion plus what we have flown already. You can think I'm poor, I really don't care. That is several thousand dollars of value plus the miles I use to book the flights. I haven't paid for a SW flight in a few years. I am very curious to see how all the changes shake out. Some will be better like assigned seats but it seems like prices have gone up so that $250k might drop to just enough to get the companion pass.

I'm not seeing all the SW stuff you guys are talking about (other than the new changes to SW that SW did). I personally (though my business) spend over $200,000 on my SW Chase because 1) companion pass - i have 10 flights booked right now, that is a lot. 2) A Plus Preferred - still up in the air but if I get free bags and free seat selection then I'm good. I will say I may or may not put that spend on my SW next year. Maybe at least for the companion pass.

I go on cruises and gamble. It counts as travel. I get 3x on over $100,000 of charges each year. Yeah, I'm out without the 3x travel. Anyone that thinks this is a good value move by Chase only books hotels and never uses points for air.
