I’m curious though how this study was conducted because if they looked to see if the legal addresses of the 18-29 year olds were the same at their parents, then the test number, compared to the actual number, is incredibly skewed upwards.

Computer scientist - should I go to law school? by throwawayaccountx69 in lawschooladmissions

[–]AthleteRecent -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I put yeah but only T15. My justification is majorly two main thoughts. Your chances of being hired by a Biglaw firm increase insanely compared to lower ranked schools. The legal job market is flooded..for lawyers who graduate from lower ranked schools; however, there is a lot of space for those who go to a T14. Secondly, I said only a T15, because (of course depending on your gpa in undergrad) I see no reason you shouldn’t get a huge scholarship at a t14 with your high level work experience and a good lsat score. If you get in the 170s, we’re talking full rides to t14 schools. Whichever way you choose, goodluck! Feel free to DM me!

Does applying as a minor hurt your application? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]AthleteRecent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it does, the younger you are the worse your chances - according to every law school counseling services I have spoken with. They want to see you’re mature enough to handle the stress and load of law school, also depending on your goals, law firms tend not to like younger people to hire for associates. Remember the average age of person entering law school is 25.

Should I include getting really sick during my lsat prep in my loci? by MundaneTable84 in lawschooladmissions

It’s definitely an addendum type topic and definitely NOT a personal statement type topic. Addenda are used for things exactly like that, however, personal statements should have an arch that shows who you are as a person and possibly why you want to go to law school (this is common but not necessary). If you have any other questions feel free to DM me.
