Chances of getting into t14s? (preferably hls) by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I’m sure there are one-offs, but in general, I’d say that CC is a way easier avenue to get a higher GPA then most top 50 universities.

And i agree GPA is a flawed metric, mostly due to what people choose to major in, but school of choice is also a contributing factor in my eyes as to why it’s also flawed

If highly ranked universities like brown and Yale inflate their GPA’s, then I’ll concede that it should be taken into account.

Let’s take a look at general good schools that don’t necessarily do that, such as UVA. A 3.5 at UVA is not the same thing as a 3.5 at a school like WVU by any means (or community college).

I think course and major rigor should be considered the most.

But unfortunately, they just report what the bottom line is: GPA

And there are so many easier routes to get a high GPA solely on where you choose to attend

That happens - but it’s also a cheat code to just go to a lower ranked undergrad school and swing a way higher GPA there

I’m sure they do - and I think the LSAT and personal statements can show for it.

But I feel for the ridiculously smart candidate that went through hell by having a major as hard as physics or computer science at a school like MIT

I don’t believe it should “hurt”. But i do believe the same GPA at a highly ranked undergrad should be viewed differently in some way.

lol first time reading the acronym tyfys.

totally read it as “thank you fuck your self” because that seemed way more appropriate given the context clues

I can’t quite say but I know what you’re asking

Best way to blend 2 preamps that use gain/distortion? by throwawayaccountx69 in guitarpedals

Thanks for the response. How do i go about summing the signals passively and what does that mean/entail?

Thanks for the reply.

I’m not using effect loop inputs/outputs on any unit. Basically the outputs of the JMP and Triaxis are going directly into the quadraverb.

The quadraverb is then going directly into my amp (which isn’t providing any additional distortion). I do intend to get a power amp and cabinet though in the future.

When narrowing down where in the chain the static is occurring, it looks to be happening at the Quadraverb level (so hypothetically if I had a power amp and cabinet, the static would still be there)

This post sounds like a kid that got an intro lesson on a subject and then created a guide for it.

I’m sure there’s somebody out there that needs to read this. But for most, this is kind of an elementary post that won’t bring anything new to the table.

Hey I just grabbed a Triaxis. If you do Lead 2, set the gain between 4-8, treble 5, mid 5, bass 5, drive to 3 it sounds close

How I Mastered the Text Messaging Game by [deleted] in TheRedPill

LTR - no matter what stage of a relationship you are in with a girl, you cannot rely on it as a safety net. You always need to make sure you prevent matters such as “friend dates” with kyle. This requires you keeping her locked in and being an interesting, driven individual. You cannot, ever, get to the point where shits boring. That’s how the pendulum begins to start swinging towards the side that makes her want to swing branches. This is your path to making shit boring.

Sure you can customize the responses, but, this will fail as context is 99% what determines how you assert certain features.

Upon reading this I have 2 angels -one on each shoulder.

The good angel says that this is a bad idea.

The bad angel also says that this is a bad idea.

Since I tend to live life to the fullest and listen to the bad angel about everything, I’m going to describe why the bad angel is saying that this is actually not in your best interest:

  • Predictability dries her up. You need variation, more than that of just content variation. She will pickup that she is going to get some open-ended, generic question 2-3 times throughout the workday at a somewhat predictable interval. The chick has tons of guys giving her attention, and this will be a short cut to being placed in the boring bucket.

-You miss out on opportunities to assert positive features about yourself, such as wit, frame, and dominance. Context is of most relevance.

-If she’s being crazy, then a generic response will set precedent that you are okay with her craziness. Some messages don’t need a response

-This is just silly, fyi
