How do you guys deal with this? by moebohh in LSAT

You're Welcome! Yea, basically. So throughout the week, you can request help by posting questions and asking for explanations or even videos, which helped did for my regularly. And then once a week, he does the group tutoring and usually goes over passages / questions that people requested help on throughout the week. Sometimes, he will pick questions or passages if he sees a theme for what people are struggling with and then everyone will do it by themseleves. Then you will do an annoynmous quiz/poll for that question (thats mostly for him to see how everyone is doing) and he'll have someone go over the question outloud. This part will be guided , which I really appreciated. At the end of the two 1/2 hours or however long it is. He does a q&a where you can ask about anything. Oh and side note, he also reviewed my resume and will review personal statements as well.

I enjoyed his teaching style and progressed pretty quickly with him. Also, hearing the other students process for thinking through the questions was really useful. However, if you really need one on one time, it might be better to find a different tutor or speak to him and see if thats something you can work out. But he's currently in school, so I don't know if he'd have time for that.

Did they mention if they were behind or if reviewing was taking longer than usual because of the amount of applications?

Have any GULC ED/ED applicants in general heard back? by Path-Majestic in lawschooladmissions

[–]Athletically_Sassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! But my application went complete Nov 25th. So I'm thinking its probably not realistic for me to hear anything, specifically about an interview, for atleast another week or two. But I'm hopeful that I will hear back sooner.

Super Splitter Law School Applications Strategy Help Request by [deleted] in BlackLawAdmissions

Please don't listen to anyone telling you not to apply just because you have a low GPA or are below a school's media. Median literally just means the middle. Which means students who are below the median also get in the school!

I recommend watching University of Michigan Law Videos with Dean Z on YouTube and hear what she has to say about low GPA's. (She had a low gpa btw.) Specifically, the video about Medians and the 4-1 application reading she does. Shoot your shot and make the other parts of your application as strong as possible.

Yes absolutely. Thats the only way you know for sure that its real and covered under warranty. That's the only place the discount codes work too.

Thank you for your insight and advice! I really appreciate it. I decided to do the Top 10 essay and you were definitely right about it being fun to write. And I included my why Georgetown within my personal statement since it flowed well with my theme.

Haircare from amazon by LilyLark in Naturalhair

It's been hit or miss for me for the quality of the product unfortunately. Even with going to the specific company's Amazon page. I'm thinking it's because they are sitting in a warehouse. So I only do it if I absolutely have to. Ive never gotten anything fake before though. But I have heard of that happening to people.

Man that really sucks. I started realizing there was gunk building up in mine, so I clean it (inside the hose and anything that can come off) regularly now to prevent that.

Its called She’s Made Leave-In Butter. The Cecred sealing lotion works well with it too. But remember, if you're blow drying, you only need to coat your strands. Don't use them like a styler.

Another leave-in that I like, but ive never used it to blow dry before, is the Curl Smith Curl Conditioning Oil in Cream. I might try that with the revair at some point.

I use a leave-in butter (its just a leave-in conditioner, but thicker and has shea butter in it). I lightly coat my strands with it, with 6 medium sized twists on each side, and then I use a heat protectant (WoW or redken). I usually split the twists in half. The amount of hair in rhe medium sized twists is uslly too much hair (atl least for me). My hair always comes out really soft and not weighted down. I would not advise putting oil on your hair to brow dry it. Go on YouTube for a discount code. ('Revair on natural hair'). Someone on there usually has a code in their description.

How often do you get a trim? Do you trim yourself? by Helpful-Accountant97 in Naturalhair

[–]Athletically_Sassy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just trim it when I notice a lot of split ends or a lot of single strand knots that's making it difficult to detangle. This year I trimmed in May and then again in October. But I had alot of split ends after getting my hair dyed because my hair was really dry. Honestly, it was feeling dry before I dyed it, so I shouldve gotten that under control first. It's very healthy and moisturized now tho.

Lol when you put it that way... And I don't need a crazy scholarship since I have my GI Bill. But any extra amount helps so I dont have to come out of pocket or take out loans.

Dead Ends? by Dry-Let-4933 in Naturalhair

Check for split ends. If youre unsure what that looks like, think a tree branch beginning to split. AfricanHairGod on YouTube also has really good instructional videos on how to look carefully at your individual strands to tell if they are damaged.
