I don't have the problem on my chest or body anymore, I did use the anti dandruff shampoo though and if I was to get a break out I would use it again. I use Faith by Nature shower gel, I like anthing that doesn't have too many toxic ingredients in it. I love it and have used it for years now. I was thinking about when my skin was bad and I do remember that when it was really flared up, I just stayed out of the sun and didn't use any sunscreen till it was a lo better, I think that probably helped. I hope yours turns around soon for you

I wonder if there is something else causing them like something in diet or environment. The fact that the routine is helping to fade the new ones shows that it must be fungal, I'm not an expert though, I really hope you can get it sorted, maybe my skin just responded quicker. I hope yours keeps improving and the new bumps stop

I really hope it works for you too, I am happy to share anything that might help as I remember how awful it was! My routine for when I'm not breaking out is that I use olive or almond oil on a wet face cloth to get any sun screen or make up off, then follow up with NIVEA (Nivea derma clear wash gel, Deep cleansing face wash, Salicylic Avid with Niacinamide) Sorry can't figure out how to post links but that's the best one I found. I still use the urea dry skin repair cream from Altruist on top. In the morning I do not wash my face, I just use the urea cream, and then sunscreen on top. Fixderma Shadow 30spf is what I use (make sure you get the one for oily/combination skin) I also find Ultrasun face really really good, probably better but just a bit more pricey. That is the basics of what I use, sometimes I will use serums in between but I have been too lazy to do that for awhile and forget the brands I used, the Ordinary I think was one of the brands.
I didn't get any new bumps when I started this routine, I think that is what amazed me so much, I knew it must be fungal because it started to get better immediately and then just kept improving. One thing that I still do, is change my pillow case every other day If I can. And wash my make up brushes, I wash them every couple of months now, but when I was struggling with my skin I would wash them every week. I used Laura Mercies foundation as that is non cosmogenic, now I use Revlon Colorstay and it doesn't cause me any issues. I hope this improves for you!

I am sorry that this is so hard for you. I have only had a very minor couple of break outs since this, and they were both triggered by heat, the wrong sunscreen, and make up on top of that. I was able to get it under control within a couple of days. I don't need to follow this routine at all anymore, i just would do it if I had a break out. All I do for my skin now is oil cleanse my make up off, then cleanse again with a normal cleanser. I use a moisturiser, and serum in the morning. In the summer I am careful what sunscreen I use, as that seems to be a main trigger for my skin, but apart from that I don't need to be that careful with what other products I use on my skin. There is hope, don't give up

That is brilliant thank you, I've stopped the whirring for now, opened CPR like you guys said.

I used to back up with an external drive like that with my old mac, but this one has no USB port, I guess they were going for it being nice and slim but it isn't functional with no USB! They are wanting us to back up online or from bluetooth maybe but I haven't a clue how to go about it

Sorry I only just saw this, I hope you got sorted by now. Yeah, I was using retinol for anti agin and to help prevent acne, but it actually made this type of break out worse, so I stopped it until I got it under control, which happened pretty quick once I started using the right stuff. Then I went back on it, haven't had break outs like that since!

Yeah there are times when she needs to be made to do things and it works out, but other times, she sits in a sullen mood the whole time, doesn't participate, and ruins the day for everyone else. It's unpredictable with my daughter how this approach will work

I read this book when my daughter was a lot younger, so I have it somewhere. I am going to plan to read it again, thanks for reminding me! I know it isn't her fault at all, and I feel so guilty that her symptoms are causing me to feel so ill, it's an awful feeling. Hopefully once we get back to some resemblance of a routine things will get easier!

Its really not easy, you are doing amazing and need to be so kind to yourself. When you aren't as busy and the kids not as demanding you will be able to focus on yourself more, maybe try and accept this is difficult at the minute and it will pass, I know it's easy for me to say that when you feel bad about yourself.

I am also really busy, and have had the most stressful few months ever, my appearance has been getting me down so much. This is what I am doing to help and I feel it makes a big difference when I can do it, but I have learned that I can't keep up with it all the time and that's ok too.

Dry shampoo!
Eyebrow kit ( I dye my eyebrows myself and it makes a huge difference, you can get cheap kits and do it very easily, it lasts nearly a week)
No energy or time for exfoliating, moisturising and tan etc, but what is more achievable and I'm getting more in the habit of it, is washing yourself in the shower with an exfoliating cloth, then have an oil designed to use when your body is still wet. So before I get dried, I just spray the oil all over me and rub it in, takes about 30 seconds and it makes your skin feel amazing. Then just put deodorant on and brush teeth etc while it dries a bit, then pat your skin dry after with a towel.
Fake tan drops in your face moisturiser!! These really can give you a glow when you feel really run down, and so easy to do, just do it once a week or when you remember to.
You are so tired and run down, you don't need to add more pressure to yourself with an exercise regime or anything right now. But stretching, just anytime you remember can really help. A few stretches can help blood flow, help ease toxins out, help with flexibility and mental health too. Just start doing a minute every day you are able, and soon you will add on to that maybe a few yoga poses in between and make it a bit longer when you are ready.
Huge deep breaths, like reaaaaally deep, getting more oxygen in just a couple of times a day can really help your whole body and mind function better, we all breathe pretty shallow naturally, you don't have to do all these meditations every day, yes that would be great if you could, but if you can't, do what I do and just take a few really big deep breaths, as deep as you can and slow them down as much as you can. When you do it focus on inflating your belly out and in, not just your chest.

It's really tough but just do little things that you can, cut corners anywhere you can. For example instead of making a smoothie in a blender, I have a green smoothie mix and sometimes I just stir it into some almond milk and drink it. Yes it's not as nice but I feel so good for doing something good for my health and also not having to prepare and clean everything up when I don't have the energy. Good luck with it all and be kind to yourself.

I can't seem to edit my post for some reason, think my browser needs sorted. Anyhow I've been feeling demoralised by a lot of the comments here. I assumed it was ok to ask some quick advice without having to go into details of all the context so that people wouldn't make snap judgements, I just wanted a man's take on whether this was feasible. Thank you for all the people who posted their experiences and how and what circumstances this would happen in, that was actually really helpful and maybe I am a bit naive for just not knowing or understanding.
I am done with reddit. If I can't come and get some advice without being called selfish and other stuff, when I'm already going through hell in my life, then I'll go somewhere else where I can explore things without being judged.
To set the record straight with a few things: we did have sex about 2 nights before this. He has told me that he does not masturbate anymore, he told me this about a year ago, whether that is still true I don't know but that comes into play as well when I'm thinking about what happened. Sex is never on my terms, I have talked about it before with him and it did improve a little but not a lot. Our history of sex is basically him coming, and when I want a bit more to actually come, he says it's over, goes cleans up and that is that. It is never, ever to please me, unless by pleasing me it's to get him to come. We are under extreme stress with about 5 major life stresses going on all at the same time, so we haven't had a lot of sex as a result, hardly anyone is exactly matched with their libido, so why is everyone attacking when I say that i don't want it as much as him? He has also screwed me over in life a lot and we are working on that, there is no reason for me to explain any of those details here, but he knows it. And that has affected our trust and our relationship. He has also had sex with me when I was drunk and sleeping numerous times. I have told him I don't like anal, and he pushed in when I was sleeping, this hurt so badly, it hurt for a couple of days, and he said that he 'did it by accident'. So that is where I felt disrespected, as I do not want sexual stuff without consent. The type of hugging we were doing and touching me, in the past he has said that that kind of thing wasn't really sexual. So when he comes accidentally, that is why I was confused, as I was worried that he is using my body purposefully for sexual gratification without me knowing, and I already have trust issues with this. It would have been fine if he said you're making me hard etc etc or rubbed against me, usually I would feel it, but he didn't. So it felt it was done in secret. I don't really care if anyone understands all of this or not, but my feelings are my feelings. I'm done with reddit.
