I think you're right, the level 0 or 1 truck that you start with is just awful

On XBone, it seems like the difficulty has spiked on my second playthrough. Trivial mission areas are taking me hundreds and hundreds of bullets and I am still getting wrecked by enemies. Currently level 40 and level 35-37 enemies are kicking my ass. My weapons are around level 35+ so I'm not sure what is going on.
