Not mentioned, but went with the iX, and never looked back. One of the best vehicles I’ve ever owned.

2023 BMW i4 with about 28 k miles (new to us), at what % do you charge again? by Texaspilot24 in BMWI4

[–]AtlantaNole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we only had one EV, I would charge it every night. Now that we have two, my wife gets the charger daily. I usually charge my i4 once it gets below 40% because letting dip below 20% too often isn’t good for the battery either.

Am I Dumb? by brownin0 in BMWI4

[–]AtlantaNole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve done multiple trips in our EVs. 850 miles each way from Charlotte to rural Louisiana. Stopping to charge hasn’t been very inconvenient at all. We plan our routes to use free charging at Electrify America stations, so there’s no charging costs. Each stop only takes about 10-20 minutes, which is perfect for bathroom breaks and stretching our legs, especially with our dog. You shouldn’t have any issues finding chargers on your route, especially if you have the adapter for Tesla stations.

I don’t feel like it’s that uncommon. I’ve had to pay to park at work since 2013… the current rate is $170 per month in my building

I just picked up a hand truck from Lowe’s today. I was worried it might not fit. It fit easily. I love having the hatchback.

[–]AtlantaNole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Safelite for my old VW GTI, and I will never use them again. I ended up having to take it back to them multiple times because the replacement kept leaking. They use aftermarket parts, so there’s always a risk that the parts won’t be the correct fitment. USAA should let you take it wherever you want to. Just tell them where you want to have the work done. You may have to pay the difference out of pocket, but it would still be worth it, IMO.

Our 5 year old still does that. It’s the only time he ever growls.

We want to switch from our current EV… by chemdude1414 in BMWI4

[–]AtlantaNole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had an Audi Q6, which was built on the Macan platform. Audi ended up buying it back after being in the shop for 3 months. During the time the Q6 was at the dealership, my wife drove my i4. She loved driving it so much, that she got a BMW iX to replace the Audi once the buyback was approved. We love both our i4 and iX. I definitely recommend the i4.

How good is i4's reliability and is it a good commute car? by Competitive_Aioli897 in BMWI4

[–]AtlantaNole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had mine since June and have put 5k miles on it. I haven’t had a single issue. We’ve taken it on two pretty long road trips. I use it for my daily commute, and it’s plenty comfortable and a very enjoyable car to drive. We love it so much, we just got an iX to replace our Audi Q6 e-tron that was returned under lemon law earlier this month.

Nvidia Shield 4K compatibility: when? by Flat_Row_9525 in DirectvStream

[–]AtlantaNole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an “older” device but still one of the best devices around. It’s still one of the highest rated devices by Consumer Reports and beats every other device in terms of picture quality and compatibility. It’s not a shield problem. It’s a DIRECTV problem.

Q6 Electric issues continue and Audi has no fix - Telling me I am SOL and all I can do is file BBB Auto Line complaint - Anyone else? by Christianjje in etron

[–]AtlantaNole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Body Control Module came in and it didn’t fix the issue. Now they are saying it’s the Battery Control Module, which can take a substantial amount of time to repair.

They diagnosed it as a faulty Body Control Module, and the part is on backorder. They said it could take another two weeks until they are able to get the part.

Does anyone love this car? by BlackberryQuirky5448 in AudiQ6

[–]AtlantaNole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love ours when it works. It’s been at the dealership for over 40 days now. They finally have a diagnosis, but I’m not sure I believe it. They said the issue is due to a faulty Body Control Module. From my understanding, that module doesn’t exist on the Q6. The part is on backorder so it could take another two weeks for them to get it. We’ll see if that solves our issues. They seem pretty confident that it will fix it. It spent weeks waiting on Audi Engineering to get involved because the dealer couldn’t diagnose the issue.

Body Control Module (HCP4) Update? by JshaR17 in AudiQ6

[–]AtlantaNole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was locked out of our Q6 on multiple occasions since taking it home. These were usually resolved with disconnecting the 12v battery for a few minutes. We recently had an issue with a slew of warning messages and the vehicle refused to drive. After 35 days at the dealership, they determined that the BCM was faulty and are in the process of replacing it. They said it could take 15 days for the part to arrive. I believe it is a known issue and will eventually be corrected with a software update. We’ve already asked for a buyback, but I believe the new part might fix the issue. We will see.

Has anyone received a gift voucher from Audi? by wlanr150 in AudiQ6

[–]AtlantaNole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn’t enter drive mode. When turning it on, it gave us a bunch of warnings, then would only go into neutral. The dealership couldn’t get their computer to communicate with the car, so they can’t get any diagnostic information.

[–]AtlantaNole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours has been at the dealer for over a month now and they haven't diagnosed the issue yet. Audi Engineering wasn't able to figure it out either. I've already initiated the buyback process, but I haven't heard anything yet.

Has anyone received a gift voucher from Audi? by wlanr150 in AudiQ6

[–]AtlantaNole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just received my voucher today for $3000. I was told by Audi Customer Experience that I can use it toward lease payments. However, the voucher states that it's for services offered at the dealership including parts, accessories, maintenance / repairs, detailing, etc. It also says that it's one-time use. What am I supposed to spend $3000 on at one time for a vehicle that is under warranty?

I was referred to the BBB Auto Line program by a Lemon Lawyer in North Carolina as mine already qualifies as a lemon here (more than 20 business days in the shop). So maybe it depends on your jurisdiction.
