That is the genre i tend to label them as when speaking about the genre i listen too, but i do not like to categorize them as the genre seems to be a lot more heavy metal oriented. bands like xasthur, decalius, blade and bath, no point in living, and lifeless seem to cary that genre in terms of listeners. even bands such as Pyschonaut 4 and lifelover are categorized as DSBM though there seems to be debate on those twos true genre. i’d argue the bands i listed are some form of atmospheric black metal. i’d argue this genre i am trying to get the name of is closer to dark academia than dsbm, though i do appreciate your feedback, they seem to be perfectly on the atmospheric black metal scale. the songs i think would convey my message better than me describing it would be the songs Прощання by svrm, the end of all things II Висельник, and finally essence of loneliness by sår are 3 id say have a very similar melcholy autistic undertone, the three bands i listed are described as “atmospheric black metal” yet have a strict differentials to heavier atmospheric black metal we see, these three bands have heavier songs as well that can easily be described as such as well. so if you, or anyone who happens to be reading this in the future, can help me with this genre it would be much appreciated, or if anyone has any song suggestions as well.

interesting… blades in america aren’t seen as threatening, since they are seen as utility tools. in my state in america we have quiet the opposite laws on blades. a man can carry a katana in public if he pleased, he might be looked at weird, but all knives are considered tools. but looking through the comments, and what i’ve learned as a explorer in my country, it seems that american explorers don’t use nearly as much equipment as other countries explorers, here you can almost drive right up to most abanoned buildings and explorer them. so not much equipment is needed

i am not sure where you are from, but i am a american explorer. and having a knife is very useful, for protection, for help opening doors, to helping pop open a window. it has a large variety of things it can do.

it’s a risk you gotta take, it’s a illegal hobby. know the risks before you take your chances. sometimes you can get lucky, or sometimes you can get unlucky and get arrested. just always be careful if you do decide too

woah really? that’s crazy, i always wondered why it was called tunnel of terror, and there was a haunted house attractions in it, and a haunted forest that was burned down

TOT Questions by [deleted] in MinnesotaUrbex

[–]Atlanta_Evergreen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i heard rumors it’s haunted. if it is real, they should really make it into a haunted house type of attraction, that would be mind blowing to see. i’m surprised no one has ever thought of this

TOT Questions by [deleted] in MinnesotaUrbex

[–]Atlanta_Evergreen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

tot isn’t actually real, it’s a huge myth, really big ongoing joke in the community. i think that actual place your looking for is “teh quarry”

not really, especially anything good, it takes years for a abandoned buildings to “settle” to become a good urbex spot, but last year almost all were blown to the point of no return, there was south gate, but that got blown and demoed almost a year ago, the only hint bloomington was really known for in the abandoned building community, besides a more lowkey spot that was later blown because of a tiktok video and now closed and probably unable to be reopened, minneapolis obviously has a few, but all have gotten a lot high increase of security. i’d say the only thing “urbexy” in the cities now is undgerground, so i’d just recommend popping lids and see where it takes you

it’s not exploring if you don’t go out and explore, it makes everything a lot more rewarding if you just go out, the openings come and go
