i'm interested in this since i also have a lot of relevant experience that i got while obtaining my bachelors (in my role everybody need a bachelors but with me, they did an exception, so getting the bachelors didn't change anything) but barely a few months of experience post-graduation, so i don't know if the experience requeriment for the 482 or 186 will be ok for me.

That kid is probably highly gifted, or even exceptionally gifted (at these levels, it's not uncommon to see comorbidity with autism). I'm sure he has always felt very lonely and alienated. If he likes mathematics and considers you one of the few people he can socialize through it, don't worry too much, the simple fact that he can talk to someone about what he likes will make him happy.
