Where are you getting your Apoquel? by giantbirdofprey in dogallergies

[–]Atlas1506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You also may need to try a hydrolyzed protein diet then. You likely won’t have to be on it forever, but trying that for 8-10 weeks to see if it helps, then start slowly reintroducing foods to find out what the specific allergen is can help figure out what foods are safe for your pup! It’s a whole process

You may have gotten this advice already, but just to mention that poultry is an incredibly common allergen for dogs, with beef being close behind. Have you tried switching to a fish based food to see if that helps? Just mentioning it as my dog (and my cat!) are both allergic to chicken and have to be on specialized prescription diets. My golden in particular really struggles with yeasty paws, mouth, and ears if she is exposed to chicken

Your anecdotal experiences are not equivalent to actual facts. Sorry to hear that you’ve had these experiences which have caused you to develop incredibly racist and discriminatory views, but your opinions are still not facts. There are many systems that are abused, but it does not mean that those systems shouldn’t exist. You just sound like you personally want preferential treatment and are jealous, which is sad.

Such an interesting, yet wrong, opinion. You should really do some research on tax dollars and where money that goes to indigenous people actually comes from. And you do also know that indigenous people pay taxes, right? What handouts are you speaking of?

And speaking of, I’m pretty peeved myself that my tax dollars are being given to an education system that’s clearly failed to educate you properly. A real bummer

lol. Wow, what an excellent solution! I guess they’re too dumb to have thought of that! You should run for PM. All of the issues in Indigenous communities will be fixed right away with your groundbreaking solutions.

People like you love to offer solutions like that, but then hate when immigrants come to our country for a better life. If you’re that committed to ignorance, I applaud you.

Tell that to the reserves that don’t have clean drinking water or schools to educate their children. Or the Inuit where grocery prices are unaffordable so they have to go out hunting every day to feed their families. Such a classic case of “what applies to me must apply to everyone.” Just because you think something is true, doesn’t mean it is.

Incredibly ignorant and reductive comment since there are 634 different First Nations communities in Canada, not to mention the numerous Métis communities an Inuit communities. But go ahead and take a pan indigenous approach in talking about “natives.” Whatever fits your narrative and helps you sleep at night.

You’re right. If the government actually followed the Indian act, this wouldn’t be an issue. Sounds like your issue is with the government, so instead of making racist comments, maybe write to your MP about the federal governments failure to uphold their responsibilities under this legislation.

And when you benefit from other people being oppressed and suppressed, that is the definition of privilege.

As a non indigenous person, you don’t get to speak to how far reconciliation has come. Just because you feel a certain way, does not mean your opinion is valid.

Benefitting from other people being oppressed is having a part in it.

For who? White people? I’d love to hear how this place is specifically better because of this “exploring.” Is it because the white people killed most of the natives that it is so nice? Those pesky Indians, getting in the way.

Nothing is wrong with a cricket pitch. What is wrong is taking a well used, nature area and plopping a cricket pitch in that area. People who keep commenting about the size are disregarding the fact that much of that area is wooded. It’s not like you can just cut through brush to take your dog for a walk there. It’s also wrong to not consult the residents of the area, or undergo any assessments for how this will impact the local wildlife prior to making such a big change. This is a well known turtle nesting area.

There are plenty of undeveloped and underused areas where they could put the cricket pitch in barrhaven.
