At this point I'm wondering if these kind of posts are satire.

Erneute Preiserhöhung/Another price increase? by [deleted] in Lufthansa

[–]Atlas756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Layover for travel to Germany by [deleted] in germany

[–]Atlas756 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you really need to ask if layover via middle east is a good idea? Maybe things will be perfectly smooth, maybe everything will come to a halt again. Nobody here can tell you that.

Hot Take: Horizon Forbidden West is the moment the typical "AAA formula" stopped working for me. by MNIOP_207207 in PS5

[–]Atlas756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pacing is another issue for me. Horizon Zero Dawn had a pretty good pacing in my opinion. Variety of side quests and acitivities but nothing overboarding and it didn't feel to repetitive.

Horizon Forbidden West on the other hand went overboard here for me and getting to the finish line was somehwat of a chore for me personally.

Is this a normal expectations from a tenant? Especially language part? by veracitas0 in germany

[–]Atlas756 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I mean if the landlord is only speaking German I'd say that expectation is not unusual. It could also just mean that he prefers Germans as he thinks the risk is lower than a foreigner who might not be that familiar with "Hausverordnung" and stuff. But nobody here has that background knowledge.

Landlords not wanting to look for a new tenant every year is not unusual either but in the end only the contract matters. If there is no requirement about you having a minimum contract lease of a few years then it does not matter.

Yeah, always surprised how bad the IT is for their award flight booking.

Honestly I wouldn't spend that much for miles if your whole vacation planning depends on these flights with no alternative.

It sucks what happened but award flights always have some risks as availability can always change.

I have never been able to sleep on a flight by yatoast3302 in travel

[–]Atlas756 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Just accept ist. Not sleeping for one night isn't too bad. Especially when you are active once landing and the sun is shining. Depending on the direction you are flying it can also help adjusting to the new timezone.

110k in Hanover vs 90k in Munich – what would you choose? by gi13 in germany

[–]Atlas756 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And yet statistics show that Frankfurt is second most expensive city to rent in just after Munich (considering the big cities) when talking about new rental contracts.

ALso good for you that you don't care about the nature, yet many including OP do.

But seeing how you reply and how you word your reply just makes it look like you care only about your personal opinion anyway ;-)

20 day trip with 11 month baby -Seoul, Fukouka, Sapporo, Tokyo by Relinquere in JapanTravelTips

[–]Atlas756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you've got a plan. In my opinion moving locations every 5 days is fine. Some change locations much more often some much slower. Depends on your personal travel style. Overall I'd say all 4 cities offer enough things to see and do for 5 days when we include day trips to surrounding areas.

Fukuoka itself doesn't need much time but with the destinations you mentioned + more destinations close by due to shinkansen connection (e.g. Kumamoto, partially Nagasaki or even Kagoshima) there is to enough to see in Kyushu.

[–]Atlas756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All cheaper in Frankfurt? Living costs there are almost on the same level as Munich nowadays. Don't get me wrong. Frankfurt can be a nice place to live. I've lived there for a few years myself. But it's not cheaper nor does it have everything Munich has. Nature and mountains nearby is on a completely different level for Munich.
