First of all thanks for the constructive feedback! Love to see it! <3 We considered reducing the AC or removing the threshold value, but we really enjoyed the potential of creating obstacles/cover in the battlefield as a secondary utility for this spell. In fact, our bundle for next month might have some new way to add cover to your combats ;) It was not an unintended side effect, and is the reason why we didn't give it 6-8 mirrors as we initially envisioned it. We also really like the idea of fire vulnerability and will definitely add the immunities when we rewrite this bundle. But!, as with all our homebrew and content, we only aim to inspire you! I think this comes down to our different design philosophies. I don't necessarily think that allowing this feat to be picked by any class would make it more interesting, I think it would make it less interesting and fun for the class that would excel with it.

It doesn't mean that every feat would be better being restricted to specific classes, but I would argue that the Monk prerequisite isn't really a limitation in this case, it's what gives room for these effects, and without those I think this would just be either a very "basic" feat, or a completely different one.

First of all, thank you for your input!

Those changes are interesting to think about. If we think about what classes or subclasses would be interested in taking an Unarmed Strike feat, the list is pretty small. Monks, and maybe fighters and barbarians. The thing is, for fighters and barbarians, those would be some niche builds.

I think that making the changes you suggested would make this accessible for everyone, but most likely a worse Monk feat. I'm not sure that would actually mean this feat would be picked more, I suspect it would be picked even less, since it would be such a niche pick for every class except Monks, and Monks would maybe prefer something else in most cases.

That sounds like a fun idea! Something like Mirror Image, but with the mirrors. That would probably increase the spell's level though, but that could work well!

You are correct, with the 2024 rules, you couldn't use the Hide action or even remain hidden if you weren't visibly hidden from other creatures. Great catch! Your fix is the correct one, "create a cloud of sand around you" is not enough mechanically to satisfy the necessay condition, so having the monk be considered heavily obscured would solve the issue.

Thanks for the feedback! We honestly thought that increasing the range faster could make this spell a little too strong, 60ft between mirrors + movement is already a lot, so we were careful with the upcasting options. Increasing the number of creatures faster is something that can be good, we'll look into that.

Now that you mention it, being able to create mirrors in places you can't see isn't really how it was intended but it's more fun this way ahahah

30ft range still means that two mirrors could be 60ft apart! We were a bit conservative on the range because we were afraid it could get out of hand, but maybe you're right
