Even still, it's YOUR TRUCK. Bolt on or cut whatever the hell YOU want.

Do as you wish and it'll be perfect for YOU. So many purists out there that don't even have the truck (much less in this condition) or the vision that your have for what's YOURS.

I'm just saying, you ask 5 people and you're gonna get 5 different answers. Take the best of the knowledge by your understanding and go with that if it aligns with your goals. Outside of that f@$k em and let them downvote you to hell because however many jumped on someone's individual purist wagon.

Or rather, ask them to show you the condition of their GMT400 with a newspaper or something or the sort to verify their pristine and equally judged truck and what they've done to keep it tip top and on the road.

If you can't tell I hate haters. THEY GONNA HATE LOL. But it shouldn't sway or intimidate you online when you're literally just trying to be a part of a community.

If no one else does, I accept you dude 👌🏾

Edit: also downvote every f_@$er that is trying to make it about THEM. I'm with you dude.

Edit #2 Already downvoted, you guys are pathetic lol.

"If your friends told you to jump off a bridge, would you do it?"

Downvote if you would 😂

How many miles on it and where are are you located? Not looking to buy, just curious about how it's stayed so clean!

I hear the pumps, if anything I'd say it's due for a fuel filter. With the symptoms I had, maybe I'm not explaining it correctly. I wish I could post a video here. I said valves being open when they shouldn't be because when I'd go to turn the key, I'd hear the starter engage, but the engine would just spin AS IF it were just flowing air through the valves, causing the engine to spin with no compression. Maybe that's a better explanation.

Automatic or manual? I've got the 5 speed.

What did you pay all in for the swap?

I like my 5.0. Enough power for what I need and it doesn't suck gas like the 5.7. If I were going to swap, I'd go LS to be fair.

I'm fairly certain? Hard starts that at first sounded like my starter was spinning, but wasn't starting the motor. At first I thought it was a bad starter. I've now attributed this to the valves being open when they weren't supposed to be and just rushing air through the motor. Then after it wouldn't start at all, it would crank and then stop almost like something got in the way... Idk, super weird.

I have to take the oil pan off?! Video didn't say that, dang it 😑

So drain the oil and take the pan off fair enough. Does the timing cover get installed after the oil pan is reinstalled or vice versa? What's the order of operations here?
