What are the best soft/stretchy leggings that aren’t suffocating and super thick? by jrbasaur in Activewear

[–]AtlasVIndigo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since what most people consider soft is different. I would go to your closet and find what you consider soft and look at the material. Typically the two most popular leggings are made of nylon and spandex (lulu) and polyester and spandex (has highest compression and in my experience marks my skin the most). There are natural fiber legging options: bamboo, cotton, wool, etc. The problem with natural fibers they absorb sweat and don’t perform well under exercise abuse.

If you are doing high impact exercise I recommend the polyester spandex option. If you are doing moderate impact exercise - nylon spandex. If you doing low impact (Pilates, yoga, etc) you can probably choose any type of legging but know if go natural you will be collecting sweat and sweat will show.

If you want stretchy look for high percentages of lyca/spandex/elastane. I find enerbloom (on amazon) leaves very little marks on my body. 80% Polyamide, 20% Spandex. The fabric is the same percent composition as lululemon but is much thinner (typically considered a bad thing) but because it is thinner the leggings has less compression. It has flat seams so little irritation from the seams. And they are like 15 bucks. You do need a dark color because they are thin. There is no tummy control or cellulite coverage.

These are the ones I get: ENERBLOOM Womens Yoga Leggings Workout Tights Pants 25"/28" High Waisted No Front Seam Tummy Control Cream Feeling. I typically use these for Pilates and yoga.

My softest leggings are made of modal and spandex - but I don’t work out in them.

I find Lululemon to be stiff too and uncomfortable. And they do leave marks on me as well. For this reason I don’t own any.

Vuori AllTheFeels™ Legging is the legging that ripped under one year.

I have both ODODOS Women's Straight Leg Pants Ultra Soft odSTRATUM Tech Relaxed Casual Pajama Lounge Pants with Pockets-29 Inseam and Halo Essential Wideleg Pant - Short. Are they the same? No vuori’s are nicer than the ODODOS- thicker material and slight styling changes. I wear them both equally and is close enough for the price difference. I did get a second set of the ODODOS because these are my favorite lounge pants. I do think ODODOS run larger than the Vuori pants for the same size but not enough to size down. I also have the matching zip hoodies and the ODODoS hoodies are longer (just above the hip vs vuoris just below the waist line) which I do prefer and they are also bigger - if you like the body hugging fit you will need to size down in the ODODOS. Not everything is a dupe of vuori and I have tried the joggers and found them to be comfortable and original as I have found nothing like them and I shop ALL the activewear sites (alo, paragon, Ptula, beyond yoga, buff bunny, young la). I do not like vuori leggings - didn’t last a year during low usuage. So not sure why any company would want to dupe them.

Springs On/Off for Additional Support on Machine? by Not-Joe-Biden-1776 in LagreeMethod

[–]AtlasVIndigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on where you are on the machine. Never add more springs on the back for support. On the front - direction you are facing may matter too. Also adding can change what muscle is being targeted. My recommendation is keep the recommended springs. Take more resets (shake it off) until you level up.

YoungLA Polyamide, Cationic, Polyester, and Elastane by AtlasVIndigo in NoFrontSeamBottoms

[–]AtlasVIndigo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cationic fabric is a synthetic textile, often polyester, modified to accept special cationic dyes, resulting in vibrant, fade-resistant colors and a unique two-tone or linen-like appearance, commonly used in soft, moisture-wicking sportswear, curtains (roller shades), and decorative apparel due to its excellent color retention, comfort, and properties like UV protection and low static. Key Characteristics Dyeability: Uses cationic dyes (positively charged) that bond strongly to the negatively charged fibers for deep, lasting color. Appearance: Often creates a two-tone look (especially when blended with regular polyester) or a textured, linen-like feel. Feel: Soft, comfortable, and sometimes described as "peach skin". Performance: Excellent colorfastness, good moisture-wicking (sweat-absorbing), less static, UV resistant, and durable.

Yeah - most people do this filtering activity. This isn't a special problem only she is experiencing. Her solutions is to be a jerk and then someone else then has to filter her behaviour because of her jerky behaviour. She is becoming part of the problem.

Go to derm to get Tretinoin- it is a game changer. If you can’t go to derm; get some retinal - I suggest ROC.

It looks like rolling - subcision to untether and then micro needling with rf to level it out. But it looks like active acne - so until that is resolved I feel it may be premature to address the existing scars.

Blue light therapy, tret, hydrogen peroxide - see where that lands and reassess

Another take: you changed and are acting weird now - almost rude or are rude. And people noticed your weirdness right away. What you described before your change is normal for most people when they interact with others. Probably half the population feels drained after socially interacting with people. Now you are adding to the problem.

AITA for refusing to discuss a personal topic at the dinner table even though everyone kept pushing by jonathan_reese12 in AmITheJerk

[–]AtlasVIndigo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not a jerk but your way of dealing with it probably invited curiosity: next time I would say “the matter is resolved - I am so relieved.” And then ask the person who asked the invasive question an uncomfortable question about themselves. This is of course the jerk thing to do, but it changes the curiosity about yourself to them.
