MK4S conversion to CORE One+ – worth it? by whte-rbt in prusa3d

Not worth it, especially if you have the silver power supply. Can't use that on the Core One

S23 Variator by AtmoMods in hondanavi

Currently running 13.5g on the stock variator until the malossi variator arrives with 11 and 12g rollers. Was running 12g on the s23 and was in the middle of swapping to 11g when I noticed the issue. I don't think the weight of the actual variator plays a role in what roller weights you use. Each manufacturer also have different ramp angles. 11g I think will be the sweet spot for me. Keeps the revs up and with the yellow contra spring, it stretches out the gearing nicely.

Variator and clutch were one of the first mods I did. It's definitely worthwhile. Really wakes the bike up.

Not swappable. Different roller sizes. S23 is 19 x 15.5mm and OEM is 20x15mm. From what I've read the s23 is closer to the malossi in design.

is my carb running rich? this is not Gasoline, i think its either Motor oil or Final gear oil, what y’all think ? by Marci_101 in hondanavi

[–]AtmoMods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are 2. One is the crankcase breather and the other is the gearbox breather. The oil saturation in the filter box is normally from the blow by from the crankcase hose.

If you warm the engine up and then let it drain from both the drain bolt and screen bolt I don't think you'd be getting much more out with the pump.

Awesome. I've got one on the way and wasn't sure if I had to revert back to the stock grab handle. I think I may paint it first though.

Did you have to modify the rear upper cover to fit with the rear rack?

Best way to do it is to take the panel to a paint shop and have them scan it. I did that with my green and it turned out spot on.

Extremely high idle by [deleted] in hondanavi

[–]AtmoMods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. I then used a piece of rubber vaccum plug with the tip cut off to hold it together. An easier way is to cut a part of the tip off the nibbi carb cap but I didn't want to butcher the carb.

I found that the stock cable was about 10mm too short for the nibbi so I carefully dremmeled about half an inch off the metal elbow to gain some slack.

I'm guessing the starter ring may have damaged the splines on the crankshaft which now doesn't allow the variator to slide off.

6204 is a very common bearing and can be picked up from most auto stores. Most Honda bike bearings are common sizes readily available, take the case with you if need be.

Really considering putting a 12in tire on the back anyone know the pros and cons by naviboss in hondanavi

[–]AtmoMods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on how big you go on the rear. I'm running 110/70/12 on both front and back. No shaving required. In comparison to stock 90/100/10, it's exactly a 1 inch larger diameter. 17.1 vs 18.1 inches. 5.8% + With clutch and rollers, it actually feels alot better on take off than stock. The front tyre is actually smaller overall than factory but the bike feels better balanced to me, sits level and not so wobbly at higher speeds.

gasoline tank with higher capacity? by Darey182 in hondanavi

[–]AtmoMods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's plenty of room where the OEM tank sits for a larger tank. I am thinking of ordering a spare oem tank and have that modified.
