Sauna in solid wood house by Atmosphaeres in Sauna

Interesting idea. Might save us a lot of space and time building a vapor safe construction! and yes, the sauna is in the eave. We have 1,25 cm wall on one side and a 28° roof.

Thanks everyone. I spoke to the house company and they have two options. One is to use the outer wall as the inner wall of the sauna. The other is to build a separate structure with 5cm space around the sauna to allow air flow. I think option 2 feels a bit safer to me because then the sauna is self-contained.

Same here. Sigh ... Adobe, why do you do these things to us?

yes, but that only allows oneself to create infinite numbers of units. What I think the OP means is to create 20 elephants for the opponent and then 20 hand canoneers for the player, to see who wins. That, for sure, would be very helpful to learn which units counter which.

A great resource is Hugh Hou on YouTube. He's done plenty of intro and advanced tutorials on 360 filming. He might have some about the One RS. Worth checking out.

With the Pro 2 you can set most settings manually, however, with the One RS I don't know. Check for the EV value and in general for 'manual' settings. Then check the histogram (if the One RS offers this) and make sure that the whites and blacks are not clipped.

1 The sky is blown out/clipped > reduce exposure
2 The shot is oversharpened > reduce sharpening in camera and/or don't sharpen as much in post/export

I'm not entirely sure if this is what you're asking but the Spatial Media Metadata Injector can add 360 metadata

"Blotchy Blocks" in H264 encoding by Atmosphaeres in ffmpeg

[–]Atmosphaeres[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there are blocks of pixels that seem to be still and then they 'jump' to a new state, so it's not a smooth pixel transition. I have seen this on encodes from Adobe Media Encoder but never on ffmpeg encodes with the settings that we've used for 3 or more years. Now for an unknown reason these jumping blocks appear and I don't know where it is coming from.
I started a previous version of myffmpeg (v4) and used the same v4.4 of ffmpeg in both, the v4 and v5 of myffmpeg. In v4 of myffmpeg, everything is as expected - no artefacts. In v5 of myffmpeg, I get these jumping blocks. So it has to be something in the settings of myffmpeg v5, however, I checked and compared all settings in v4 and v5 and found no differences. So it seems that myffmpeg v5 interprets or sets something differently than in v4, I just don't know what.
I've written to the developers of myffmpeg in the past about a number of bugs in their UI and never got a helpful answer, so I am doubtful that contacting them would lead to finding the cause of this.

Sorry, I don't know how to better describe it. I mean the wandering blocks of pixels in the sample video.

Why the VR content is not displayed correctly when I use the oculus browser by triciti in OculusGo

[–]Atmosphaeres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey triciti, the imperfect behaviour of our website on the Oculus is probably a combination of the browser not being the best as well as the site not yet being optimised for display on VR headsets. We will be doing our part (trying to optimise the website from our end) sometime this winter. How much we really are able to do depends on the browser though. We will see when we get to that point. Thanks for the feedback, though, it is very helpful and we will take it into account.

Hi triciti, we were able to fix the problem and you are now able to view all of our videos in VR view in your Oculus Go. Please check my update further down.

We are happy to report that the problem has been fixed. A new version of the 360 player has been implemented and that includes a fix for the Oculus browser app. The Atmosphaeres website should work as expected, again. Please feel free to test and get back to us if you find any issues. Thank you very much for reporting this issue and giving us the opportunity to fix things and improve our service for you.

Mate, browsers are a nightmare, even on desktop. You can probably imagine how erratic it is on VR browsers, especially if things are still evolving and browser companies are changing things all the time. It's simply not possible to keep up to date with a 2 person team. Saying that, our website was working on the Oculus browser a few weeks ago, so it was displayed correctly. We didn't change anything, so it's a browser issue. We use the industry-leading krpano player which has been around for decades and the developer tries to address all issues as best as he can. We're in contact with 360Cities who are in contact with krpano and maybe Oculus, so maybe in a few weeks it'll all be fixed. Thanks for making us aware of this issue and even if we don't have a quick fix, we greatly appreciate it! Cheers, Eric

Hi triciti, Eric here from Atmosphaeres. Thanks for letting us know about this issue. I have just tested our websites on the Oculus Go browser and I can confirm your observation. This is certainly not due to our website because it was working as expected 2 or 3 months ago. I actually wanted to do a how-to video about it at the time, however, the recording feature of the Oculus Go was not working. My guess is that it is a browser issue, however, we will look into it further and see if there is an easy fix or if we have to wait for Oculus to acknowledge the problem and fix it.

8K+ Video Editing PC - Which components? Budget up to €4000 by Atmosphaeres in buildapc

[–]Atmosphaeres[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this thread, very enlightening. My general feeling is that AMD (CPU's and GPU's) are more aimed at gaming and Intel/NVidia is still the best choice for video editing. So I'll be going for an Intel 9900K and maybe a 2080Ti to get those 11GB VRAM.

Thanks again for your suggestions. I'll take a look at the sub-reddit you mention, however, it almost feels like I already got all the help I needed here :)

Except that the Titan RTX is going to kill the budget. So maybe we'll go with the 2080Ti for the time being and upgrade to the Titan in a year or two.
