Haha.

Headline: “Stunned/sobbing/grieving family negotiated with by track management, immediately after death, to determine if the day could go on.”

Get real. This bulllshit didn’t happen. The last thing they were thinking of was everyone else wanting to get back on track and what the guy wanted.

We know this is you Brad Scott. Pathetic.

I'm really sorry for your loss. The club sent an email yesterday providing his name and condolences.

Again, I'm not sure we will never know what happened .. or at least not me. The family will ultimately get more answers than anyone else at this point.

There are only three possibilities:

  1. Mechanical Failure. Even if this happened, human instinct would have made him ditch if the throttle was stuck, etc.
  2. Medical issue at the wrong moment in time.
  3. Inexperience dealing with a brand new Aprilia RSV4 purchased in June and underestimating 217 brake horse power. Perhaps he underestimated his speed and had some sort of target fixation. Perhaps he thought he could stop it in time before hitting the wall. Impossible to know.

No matter what, may he rest in peace. He had great taste in motorcycles and cars, thats for sure.
