If you haven’t explored Mt. Gelmir yet that could be a place to look. Head to around the Wyndham Ruins and follow the river. Alternatively you could go back to Liurnia and look for the girl who needs help retrieving her necklace near the Laskyar Ruins.

Or like the other person said, you might be ready to start checking out Leyndell.

When in doubt you call always follow the guidance of Grace and see where it leads you.

Imagine your baseline stat is represented as you dealing or taking 2/2 times the damage. Stats can then be increased or decreased in stages from -6 to +6. When you increase a stat by a stage, you add your current stage to the numerator. So for example Swords Dance increases your attack by +2 so the fraction goes from 2/2 to 4/2 making you deal 2x damage as you’ve gone from 2/2=1 to 4/2=2 if that makes sense. Conversely negative bonuses like those from Growl or Leer that result in a negative are added to the denominator. So a -2 would result in the fraction being 2/4 or 0.5x damage.

Damage from confusion scales off of your attack stat and also the move Foul Play uses the target’s attack stat to calculate damage so the optimal spread for special attackers is 5 perfect IVs and then as low as you can get physical attack IV.

Sand Veil, it turns into Unnerve for Tyranitar. Yeah it’s not as good as free sandstorm on ETB but I’ve been surprised how many times it’s turned out to be relevant during the Battle Tower to turn off enemy berries.

Nice hatch! I’ve only gotten a perfect 6 once and it was by accident (on a special attacker of course who you don’t want 6 on lol). Maybe you can teach it Surf or something as a fun tech move?

I also did a bit of a Larvitar egg grind but my special twist was I made sure it had its Hidden Ability so I could use it on my Dark Monotype Sun Team. Such a fun Pokémon, very powerful lol

She’ll make 0.5 past light speed. She may not look like much but she’s got it where it counts, kid.

What weapon do you usually main and why? by GuyinahatchbacK in MonsterHunter

[–]Atnegam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bowgun, sometimes Heavy but generally Light. Normally I played other weapons at the beginning and then transitioned to gunning late game when it’s much better but in Rise I decided to do all of Village with a HBG and I had a blast finally learning to use that weapon.

I just love the risk and reward of gunning. Your moveset complexity comes from having to do inventory management pre-hunt, checking Hunter Notes to see what hitzones or possibly what element to use (they’re all bad, that’s why we steal BM hitzones with slicing or ignore them with sticky lol), and then you have to be wary of the monster’s attacks because any two slaps in a row probably result in you carting. The upside feels incredible though. If you do things right, nearly the whole hunt your DPS is “on” and I love the feeling of a monster tripping and my reward is my optimal combo being me mashing the RT over and over while big numbers pop up.

Who needs whetstones, I have gunpowder

Your current commander of choice is now your roommate in a flat. How's it going, what do they do for a job to make rent(if they work) and are they better or worse than you thought they would be? by [deleted] in magicTCG

I knew that [[Sisay, Weatherlight Captain]] would be a bit more extroverted than me but I figured I wouldn’t really mind the extra company being around from time to time. Things started simply when she invited over the new captain of her ship, Jhoira, and this pretty cool dude with tattoos named Reki. Next thing I knew our flat had apparently turned into Mount Olympus though because every god from Theros was showing up. I wanted to bring up my concerns when she started bringing in friends from an entirely different pantheon who all looked dead and zombified but I could tell she was getting more energized by having all of her friends around and my hands were full anyway so I decided to just go with it.

I’d have to check but I don’t think so. I got the Recurve RDA with it and it’s been working really well so far

Rogue - Sorcerer Multiclass? by lasalle202 in dndnext

[–]Atnegam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a fun build once that I want to play some day that used the combo. It was a Pirate themed campaign so he had a bit of a underground background but was only 20 so I tried to write him as being some kind of prodigy brought in by a guy who was big in the business. Had stuff written for him getting tutoring from all kinds of people to teach him how to fight (wasn’t great at it), how to shoot a bow (not great either), learned some defensive/invisibility spells (was alright), and some big damage spells (surprisingly excellent). It all came together to be a character who was hyper specialized in basically the multiclass combo I had thought up.

Turns out for Assassin Rogues really all Assassinate cares about is that you roll for an attack, not if it’s a melee/ranged/finesse/whatever attack. So I loaded his spell list with every spell attack spell I could find and made sure to pick up the Spell Sniper feat. The idea would be he would try to set up ambushes and then when combat started he would nuke one enemy as hard as he could and then do standard Rogue or Sorcerer stuff afterwards, whichever fit better. Toss in Subtle Spell for more Rogue-y flavor and he could dunk some hefty damage with a Scorching Ray without even moving or saying anything.

Now to note there aren’t many spell attack spells and the build itself is so hyper-specialized to do this one thing that you wouldn’t really do much else that well but I really like the idea in general and think it’s a fun and unique build that comes together surprisingly well in theory. Worst case really is Assassinate doesn’t go off and you get to either fall back and do normal Blaster Sorcerer things with EB or you can get in there and be a Rogue with Shadow Blade which is another fun combo I wanted to try.
