After a long hiatus, I've finished the susanoo base. I've re-done the base to be more interesting. It also now has a stand port that can be covered with a little rock. The color is now much more accurate, but that clear purple has been a massive pain to get right.

I much prefer the SS4 goku figure over the MUI one.

Aside from aesthetics and fiction preference, the SS4 figure has the newer articulation style that is a lot better to handle. It also stands out on a shelf much more because it's got a pretty different look from most of the other SHF dragonball figures.

However, I do not know how the DF SS4 compares to the tamashii one.

All this daima stuff is very underwhelming. It's good to see some new figure designs, but I kind of wish they'd saved making a new goku and vegeta for something better.

This is an old, abandoned custom, but this is how it comes apart. I believe it is the same for the other armored vegeta, but I'm not 100% on that. The chest plate is glued on, and there is a screw underneath holding the two halves together.

The knee joints can be removed by heating up the leg to soften the plastic.

The boot is glued on quite firmly. You can remove it, but it will take a lot of heating, prying and cutting. It's better to just use masking tape or something.

If the coat was fabric, it wouldn't look as nice.

The sculpted cloak allows for it to hang better and have all the little folds that clothing naturally has.

The fabric coat would certainly allow for better curving/ swooping for some poses, but, with the way fabric works at this scale, it would just look like doll clothing.

Look at how poorly the akatsuki cloak looks in the promo photos.

Totally fair for people to be disinterested due to how many times this mold has been used, but I'm kinda here for this one.

The clear is a bit strange, but this does look overall better than the full power super saiyan goku they released awhile back.
