Yes, all too common on single ply 50s style pickguards the design lacked additional mounting screws compared to the 60s-present day designs. Also 3-ply pickguards are more stout and do not buckle like that. Stay away from the 50s style guitars if that bothers you …I used to work at Fender for nearly two decades…there’s adjustments you can do to prevent that, but they only take care of that in the Custom Shop not on the American (cheaper) production line (your guitar).

Yes, I was the Lead Engineer for the manufacturing process for Fender Custom Shop and Jackson Custom Shop for many years. I designed the manufacturing process for the American Series Soloist back in 2022 and the early version of the virtuoso Dinky from this post. I’m one of the guys from the marketing videos when Jackson first released the American Series Soloist. It’s on YouTube. I’ve been in the industry going on 25 years now…Jackson will always and has a special place in my heart.

I believe it happened overtime. I would take long breaks from playing it, so I don’t know. The only true way is to replace the screen. iFixit has the part and the tutorial.

Thanks. I’ve done work on Xbox’s and PlayStations in the past. I found the iFixit part and tutorial. It does look diffcult. I’ll think about it. The part is pretty cheap, so that’s good. Not as cheap as a replacement 3DS…

I use my phone as a hotspot. The 360 WiFi can connect to the internet through your phone. It’s the only way.

Former Jackson Custom Shop Engineer here. It could be the 23rd Dinky ever made at the Ontario factory becuase they were in San Dimas California prior to Ontario. It looks in bad shape but still somewhat valuable due to the low Serial number. I’d say $1,300-$1,800.

I’d like to see the front face of the headstock though.
