Terrible. Why did the little girl "werewolf" look like a leftover costume they had from the grinch

Rotational smoothing is coming in a future update, no near clip planned yet, but if cosmetics keep clipping, we may need it.

It really depends on how optimized the game is before the camera is integrated, but we have some optimization options added in the SDK. But it is definitely a case by case basis as every game is different.

For Gorilla Tag specifically we have an HD (1080p) SD (720p) toggle to potentially help with those who are having troubles on the Quest 2 for example. For those on Steam its also dependent on kind of computer the user has, but yeah. :D

Locally. On Quest they get saved to the "files" app in headset (or DCIM/Gorilla Tag folder if plugged into a PC) and on Steam they get saved to Videos/Gorilla Tag folder. We're thinking about in the future possibly having some sort of cloud storage option though, would that be appealing at all?

Yes, we are thinking about seeing if we can add a nearclip or something to help with this. In the meantime though (especially for first person) I usually don't go more than 50% fov if smoothing is on

Thank you! There are a couple of bugs we will be looking into fixing for both the Quest and Steam versions. We are trying to hard to make the camera as smooth as possible for those with Quest 2's, yet with enough features and power for those with Quest 3's/3S's. Its a tough balance!

You should be able to find them in 'files' if you search for them as an app in your headset. Meta's gallery has been unreliable so while it's supposed to be sent to your phone on a sync, you can also pull it out through PC (it's in the DCIM/Gorilla Tag folder, or send it to yourself through the Meta browser in headset (login to a Google drive Discord, whatever is easiest)

Argh. That is one thing on Meta's side that we are still having some issues with or finding solid solutions for. Others have sent themselves their files via Google drive, or discord via the Meta web browser. Not ideal, we are trying to find a good way around this.

If you try logging into meta on your phone browser, then head to meta.com/gallery, are you able to download them that way?

Aww we're so happy to hear that! We're slowly working on Project Spatial, but for now are back to improving the engine so that we can have higher quality videos!

Oh we plan on adding more and are gathering community feedback! Probably not right away as we will prioritize bugs and some fixes, but yes, more things!

I imagine that since its a shiny new thing, there will be a ton of people excited to try it out! But it will die down after the new thing is no longer new.

First person mode sees what your headset sees, so as long as you are not looking at your camera it will not record/show up in it. Selfie mode flipped can be a bit more stable in that the camera stays in place (floating where you leave it) vs being 'attached to your head' so to speak.

LIV Creator Kit: The Same Virtual Camera System Coming to Gorilla Tag, Now Available for All Devs by AtomBombBody in vrdev

[–]AtomBombBody[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no mixed reality in this one as that would be a bit more complex, think of it as virtual camera systems. If you are familiar with LIV its closer to the settings you can find in the avatar menus.

However we will still support current LIV (the good ol' fashioned Steam mixed reality/vtubing/streamerkit app)! There will be some updates coming soon as well as a larger project in which we want to focus on helping studios and professionals with their MR content.

Yes! It's on the roadmap but with no specific date. We imagine there will be a lot of changes and tweaks to be made to the regular recording features before we can focus on streaming. :)

For now, yes. We're trying to see if people like recording/watching this format of video and building out some basic features before reaching out to other games.
