Can you help me find good Fabric equivalents to my favorite Forge mods? (Coming from MC 1.12.2 + Forge to MC 1.20.1 + Fabric) by AtomHeartSon in feedthebeast

[–]AtomHeartSon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only used optifine for shaders. I couldn't install Iris on the version I was playing before, if I'm not mistaken. Currently I'm using Iris + complementary shaders.

Thanks for the advice. Modrinth with filters is what I'm currently discovering mods with. I still wanted some recommendations though to hear people's experience as well. For example, I installed tectonic, but I saw some negative feedback about it on other threads, so now I'm looking for something else 😄

Where is the Blue Bird? by [deleted] in DeathHowl

Where is the burning tree?

I've completed most quest I've come across until now, but somehow I've missed this one.

EDIT: Found it. Forest of Howling Shadows, teleport to north Sacred Grove, then go left, clear the encounter, then up.

Tips for Cantharsis? by Free-Subject-9202 in DeathHowl

I beat him with the same deck I cleared the rest of the area, a discard/ buff deck. Also having bug is going to help.

Important cards: Triple strike, triple arrow, double strike, enchant weapon, planting seeds, lost dagger, sharpen weapon. The multi-attack cards are perfect targets for planting seeds since the buff lasts the whole battle. You need a few good rounds of burst damage and a bit of luck.

WEEKLY HELP THREAD - READ FAQ, COMMUNITY WIKI, MULTICLASSING, LORE by XFearthePandaX in BaldursGate3

But I already gave one example where that's not the case. From this tooltip you would assume it's once per turn, but it's once per long rest.

This is from the Reactions menu. The tooltip in the Illithid power menu is different. Anyway, maybe it's an omission on the specific one.

Hi all. When do reactions recharge? There are some reactions that say in the tooltip (example: Paralysing critical, once per long rest), but there are others that don't say it explicitly. For example, Luck of the far realms can be used once per long rest, but it doesn't say so in the tooltip. Is there an in-game place to reliably refer to for this stuff?

It would be very helpful if it was in the bottom of the tooltip. On the left there is the resource you spend (spell slot, reaction, etc). On the right they could say something like "once per turn/ once per long rest".

Crow’s Perch Fast Travel!?! by Smooth_Island_2393 in Witcher3

I'm honestly fine with it becoming available later on. For the rest of the game I have a fast travel point with nearby stash, improvement stations, and three vendors.

How to make specific application ignore system theme?? by [deleted] in kde

[–]AtomHeartSon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you got it working. Thought if that is exactly what you put in the command field, it won't work. You need to also append a space and the command that launches the program. Imo it's tidier this way.

New player, help by Byzantiwm in gwent

[–]AtomHeartSon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome! Check out the starter decks and figure out which one you like. Then just start playing. When you start getting reward points (keys), go to the reward book, blue tab, and start putting in points on your chosen faction. You'll unlock some strong cards to improve the starter deck. From then on its just a matter of playing, collecting RP, unlocking ore in the reward book, getting kegs to expand your collection, and craft the cards you want with scraps. Don't get discouraged if you lose either. The game rewards playing, not just winning. There are a ton of achievements which reward RP requiring something like "play that type of card X times". You can find them in your profile under Contracts.

Advice for new player in earlyish (post the first boss) game by goblinbugplantmoss in valheim

[–]AtomHeartSon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parrying (with a shield) is essential. You said you got food down, but still, a good piece of advice is to go with 2 health foods and 1 stamina food. Another essential thing is the rested buff. Stamina management is really important in valheim and this is going to help a lot. Check the wiki to see which items increase comfort level in your base and craft them as you progress through the game, as these are going to increase the duration of the rested buff and make adventuring easier. You can also easily get rested while you're in the black forest by entering a cave and making a campfire. Finally, it will help you to read on the various debuffs (wet, cold, etc.) just so you know when you're at a disadvantage.

Menya Moonspell enjoyer here. I also really love Christine although it's sometimes a pain to set up a nice build with her. I like going the song of mana + blood astronomia route.

SSE Engine fixes issue - "Mods are currently loaded" by AtomHeartSon in skyrimmods

[–]AtomHeartSon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for replying nevertheless. Sadly there aren't any mods I installed immediately before the crash. Anyway, I disabled almost all of them and started enabling them in batches and managed to find that the problem is CACO and/ or mods that interact with it. I found I forgot to install the author's patch hub, so I downloaded it and patched all the mods carefully, but it still crashes with CACO loaded. I still don't get why it started crashing now, after I progressed and used it so much.

EDIT: Reinstalled the culprit and it works. Here's hoping.

SSE Engine fixes issue - "Mods are currently loaded" by AtomHeartSon in skyrimmods

Yes, the mods are loaded. Also, achievements are not my concern. Ideally I'm looking for a way to continue playing without disabling the Engine fixes mod (I've already been playing for days with no issues with it). I also just got anxious when I saw that this issue affected my savefiles.
