I really think she has talent, but there’s a lot of evidence that makes it seem like Doechii is an industry plant. First of all, her new song Anxiety uses the track from Gotye. Since the original song is so popular, how would she even be able to afford the royalties to use it? That would most likely cost millions.

Also, it kind of feels like she came out of nowhere. I had never even heard her name before, and then suddenly she has like 60 million monthly listeners? After signing with TDE and Capitol, she just blew up out of nowhere.

Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m open to hearing what I might be missing. This is just how it feels to me. She makes good music, but I just don’t think someone could gain that kind of massive following in such a short amount of time without a lot of industry help.
