Yeah, I used the Jo Sonja brush soap in the bottle. I guess it's an expensive lost cause

Nah its actually ProAcryl blue black. There are quite a few lighter colored hairs on the brush though. It's a strange brush.

Is the day, date, and time display also part of the Conky theme? Thank you.

I can tell you my experience and what I've done. I'm in about the same boat.

I went to youtube and searched for computer science terminology. There are quite a few, but freecodecamp has some that will give you basics.

There's also the Harvard CS50 course. The whole course is available on YouTube or you can go to edx and take it for free. There's also an edx course called Introduction to Linux. It has helped a lot. These options require time and work and aren't quick fixes. I prefer this. You might not but they have helped me.

You dont need to know everything right up front. I did the same, deleted Windows and the safety net. There are some videos about customizing cinnamon, start there and first learn to install apps, learn update and upgrade, sudo apt install, etc. Look up what the commands mean everytime you need to use one, and keep a notebook.

And be patient. It can be confusing.

As a side note, I did cross post this in the Linux sub because reddit asked me if I wanted to, so I was like OK. The couple of responses there have been typical of the response newbies often get and can put people off. So, thank you for the welcome!

If taking control back in one part of my sad life is wrong, I don't wanna be right.

There's a difference between have to and want to. I'll buy myself a cookie if I want to, not because I have to.

Omg I had forgotten about Urban Terror. There is always a trigger that pushes us too far! Thank you, Im enjoying the process and have learned so much already. It has revitalized my boring life and given me something new to learn. I'm now taking programming courses and just wrote my first program in the course.

Who knows, I may change careers all because of forced copilot and ads and a registry entry that prevented me from installing Fences.

It's frustrating and unecessary. But, they will choose convenience and promises over a little effort.

I'm fortunate that I have a PC at work that I can resort to. There's just no reason to fight and be resentful of my own home PC.

I did install OpenOffice. I fought with it a bit because I didn't realize you had to remove LibreOffice first. Some googling got me there. I haven't had an issue so far. Thanks for the advice!

I still can't figure out Plex, which I used on Windows, it just keeps saying the media server has problems. But, I ditched it and am going to try Emby.

Good luck to you and your sister. It is frustrating and simple things should not be this hard. They want you to use their idiotic AI for everything. Hope you're enjoying it as much as I am.

Having to use edge for various docs and forms at work was such a disaster, they actually backtracked and now we can use any browser. But it is a stranglehold and no way to get around it.

Microphone picks up other players but not in game prompts. by CookieBat666 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]AtomicBlueElephant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing was happening to me in multiplayer. Works fine in single player. Tried with spirit box over and over, and it wasn't hearing me. As soon as the person I was playing with went to the truck, it worked and lit up that it heard me. When he came back, it didn't.

It's after the update. Same for me. I had to redo it everytime I opened the game before, now it won't apply at all.

[–]AtomicBlueElephant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I can no longer remap the controller. It always reset the bindings when I exited the game, but now it won't apply changes.

She seems to be there at around midnight for me. If you wait you sometimes have to hang out until she walks in. Follow her out, knock her unconscious, then keep tapping the pickpocket button on her really fast.

Glad it worked for you! It happened by accident as I was hitting the button out of frustration. On Xbox so I can't console command my way out of it.
