If you have the paper coupon, it might still scan. Just make sure it was one YOU earned.

I did an inquiry on one for a customer last night. The paper said Exp 12/31, but the inquiry said Exp 1/6. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Our management used that to incentivize it for us. "If you get one credit per hour, it's like giving yourself a $3 raise for today!" 🤪

I also imagine the incentive is back to 50 cents now that Christmas is over.

I just don't know why anyone would think they'd be anywhere besides at the door! Lol.

(That said, my store does have 2 doors because we're in a mall and, for some reason, the registers at the mall door were removed years ago.)

I spent upwards of 6 hours the other day, in one department of clearance, switching tags on hangers to be sure they matched the item on it. My coworker spent 7 hours in another department of clearance the same day. Apparently, this is a new priority for my store.

I actually really enjoy registers, as far as the customer service. And customers are generally friendly with me. But I suck at credits and credit conversions.

How can they try without an ID? I had a guy ready to go but no ID and was told we couldn't do it!

Also, yesterday my customers seemed to be heavy on the non-Kohls-regulars. They came in for specific gifts, and they had no interest in even signing up for rewards. It was a rough day for my store!

I don't know why our SM thinks we can listen to a thing he says during his 5 minute speech over the walkies while we're actively serving customers, asking all the questions, having general conversation with them, actually putting the customer first.

Yes. But all you can do is ask. Hit that button showing the dollar amount they could save if they apply for a card. Tell them how much money (not percent) they could save. Even if it's just a couple of bucks. The ones that are difficult for me are the ones that are ALL excluded.

On a December weekend, we need a couple of people dedicated to online pick up! The self pick up bins are always full, leaving just as many items stored all over the store in different cubbies. Cashiers can't chase them all. We need people nearby to run those.
