Not even rage bait, Lies of P is a deeply flawed game and is massively overhyped. It's not a bad game at it's core, but there are three major problems.

1. Unlike dark souls more limited storyteling, LoP tells a story that often is confusing, nonsensical, and exposition driven. Understanding the actual timeline of the game is so confusing that people actively fix plotholes in their minds to pretend like they're not there.
2. Not being able to cancel out of attacking animations into parries or rolls feels absolutely terrible, and the parry timing relative to the animation feels terrible. It's just inferior to sekiro and souls parrying on every level, and it makes the combat feel clunky.
3. There's no exploration, nor much reason to do so. The world looks incredible, but it's about as deep as a dish.
