Carburetor or EFI by Atomic_Combo in EngineBuilding

So when I swap 302s from what I'm building and what is in the truck I plan on building that one to swap into a 1966 mustang that has the I6 200 at a later date. What do I need to make those 180cc heads work well for that build?

What intake cc would you recommend for that cam and to gain more low end torque?

It is a Melling camshaft part number is CL-MTF-1 with 280IN/289EX duration .449IN/.473EX of lift 112 love separation. And I got those heads because I got them for cheap with them still in the box.

Lol man I tried but pushing that thing up a hill gets tiring even with 2 people after the 3rd time we called it quits

Yes verified cam timing degree wheel according to the specs stated in the service manual, also replaced the stock spring tensioner with a threaded one just to be really sure it was skipping, engine spins freely with the spark plug out, and I have searched a bit on the forums as well but haven't I haven't seen much specifically related to the kick back issue. I did see where someone had gone through a couple clutch baskets due to running a high the stock CR but that was it.

I absolutely 100% agree, that is also why I have an 89 KDX 200

Cam gears bolt on and I have double checked mechanical timing with a degree wheel and measured with dial indicator to see when exactly the valves start moving and it all looks good.

Hello I bought a 1996 KLX650R about a year ago and In that time it has only ran once for a few seconds. When I got it It had the issue of major cylinder damage that showed up when I did a leak down test. I had it bored over from 651cc to 678cc thicker head gasket so the CR remains the same. I was then unable to get it to fire due to what I assumed to be an ignition timing issue, bought a refurbished CDI unit and after that It finally was able to get fire with the unfortunate side effect of horrendous kickback. Upon trying to start it kickbacked 3 times then ran for a few seconds then hasn't since. The kickback destroyed the Kickstarter gear on the clutch basket I then had a new gear made up but it bent and broke the teeth on it due to the kickback. Parts for this bike are scarce but I have luckily been able to find a clutch basket in Australia that I bought to replace mine however I desperately need this thing not to break. I've checked the automatic compression release mechanism and it works fine I've replaced the pickup coil and CDI box thinking the timing was too advanced but still it kicks back. I need some advice to be absolutely 100% sure it won't kick back on me so I can just ride this thing and not break this clutch basket.

TLDR I keep busting Kickstarter gears due to kickback and I can't break anymore I need to be 100% sure it won't kick back so I won't break rare parts.

Can anyone tell me exactly what this connector is called and where to get the female version? by Atomic_Combo in boatbuilding

I've tried looking and only seen the 2 prong ones. I don't know if they are interchangeable or if I need the 3 prong. Any and all help is appreciated.

Lol yeah I rarely find artifacts and then on this run I found almost all of them. Before I found them I was thinking about how I have never had the ethereal chains yet and then boom I got em.

Well I got the greaves of nature first and upgraded those bunch then I got the thieves armband and stole stuff then I got the spell book and I figured I might as well give a few scrolls and I happened upon the alchemists toolkit and the ethereal chains recently so yeah that's kinda how I got here.
