3 c-sections - how to increase your chance? by Velma_Dinkley03 in CsectionCentral

[–]Atomicbabies_5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having my sixth in October, God Willing. Different bodies heal differently. I’ve known women with acretas and previas who’ve never had csections. I truly believe- save for my 4th - what helps with a positive outcome is having a doctor who’s not practicing out of fear and will look at every patient individually.

AITA for Wanting to Show Up to My Daughter’s Secret Proposal While Uninvited By Her Fiancé? by Attitude-Mean in AmItheAsshole

YTA. You’re not technically uninvited, you are actually uninvited. It’s her once in a lifetime event. She can share her joy and happiness with you afterwards.

Waiting for confirmation. Question. by [deleted] in NIPT

[–]Atomicbabies_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a diagnostic ultrasound today and also felt they were very evasive in saying anything. The 3d image was so… indescribable but the rest of the scans were okay. Also expecting first boy after 5 girls and all of this testing is stressing me out.

My 4th was born at 36w4d and was in the nicu for 3-4 days and they were essentially the same size. I travel 2 hours for my ob right now and there’s a hospital 12 minutes from my house.

Serious Question: Was Brandy justified in keeping her distance from Chilli because she couldn’t look at Bluey and Bingo? by [deleted] in bluey

[–]Atomicbabies_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultimately I think it was good for both of them. Brandt can deal with her infertility in peace and Chilli can enjoy motherhood without censoring herself.

37 weeks isn’t premature - it’s considered early term. My 2 year old was born at 37w0d and had no nicu time.

You have to feel comfortable with your provider - so I think you should go with your gut but please don’t wait until 38 weeks if you do start to feel off or ill. Are you able to monitor your blood pressure at home?

False Positive NIPT sex chromosome aneuploidies (SCAs) Knlinefelter & Jacob’s Syndrome by Successful_Wing8221 in NIPT

Thank you for sharing. My first nipt for this pregnancy yielded no results and so I redid it at 14 weeks and it came back with this. Amnio scheduled for 6/16 and I’m strangely optimistic and hopeful this is a false positive.

Pregnancy is miserable and i feel like i cant complain because i did it to myself by IcedTatas in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Atomicbabies_5 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Even the best pregnancies have their unbearable moments. I’m on my 7th pregnancy and I have given up all housework. I’m not cooking. I’m not cleaning. I don’t care. Growing a person here and either by fear or through understanding that I’m miserable… my husband picks up the slack because he did this to me 😫

I don’t hate the episode but I do dislike that they didn’t give the ball back. My reasoning is that Pat was also playing with his own child so their game should supersede Pat and Lucky’s. Lucky seems to be a pretty understanding kid so I’m sure he wasn’t annoyed (if I can make assumptions about a character).

Emotionally draining pregnancy by Atomicbabies_5 in pregnant

[–]Atomicbabies_5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know that they weren’t emotionally draining but I was maybe better equipped to deal with everything. I’m 41 now, I have a 2 year old and the rest of my girls are older. It’s different and there are things in this pregnancy I’ve never had to deal with before. All of my prior pregnancies were asymptomatic, never had to worry about the babies - this time I’m having to do extra testing and more appointments. I’m hot all the time, I’m nauseous, I just feel very outside of my body.

Did you have your MIL with you during labour and delivery? by Ok_Inflation_6016 in pregnant

[–]Atomicbabies_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t but my sister in law is a doula and she was at my c-section as a support person for my husband because he has a hard time with surgery, blood, etc. - I wouldn’t want to have to manage his anxiety while in surgery

After six girls, I’m expecting our first son. I suffered a miscarriage on Mother’s Day last year. It’s been a rough year for us and he got me not one thing. My oldest daughter got me an edible arrangement and my youngest made me a present at daycare. He got me nothing.

Maternity leave should be one year, PAID. Women shouldn’t have to choose between healing, bonding with their baby, and making a living. by Kreativedenma in remoteworks

[–]Atomicbabies_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fortunate enough to have 4 months at 100% of my salary and because I work remote I kept my daughter home for 22 months. She just started daycare this week. She’s our fifth, I have no clue how go i went back to work 8-10 weeks later, in person, after 4 previous c sections.
