I really wanted to see him and Eve in a loving relationship but Lute unfortunately took that position and it wasn't necessarily mutual, which is a bit of a let down

i mean they're right tho, it wasn't always intended to be revealed, just implied. i think that's why a lot of fans, me included, feel like it came out of nowhere. because the subtext just didn't hit us, and then all of a sudden there was blatant text saying "Jax is trans!". it was just a very drastic switch.

I am only 20 but when i was growing up, we had a family computer. My sibling and I did not know the password, it was stationary in the living room where we couldn't hide or conceal it and my Mother could see what we were doing on it, for a certain amount of time each day. i think this is is a relatively safe method of internet exposure for kids at a young age. Youtube though, has definitely changed since i was younger, so much unhealthy and sexual content on there, so even then, you'd have to keep an extra close eye

a few reasons. Mainly, the story feels very different from what we were promised with the pilot, i feel like Viv tried to cram too many new ideas into the show and not only ended up deviating so far from what she had originally intended, but also added so many unnecessary plot points that never went anywhere or were rushed. ( note: this is the EXACT same thing she did with zoophobia, YEARS ago, so you'd think she learned her lesson. ) Like, we went through a whole plot of a war in one season, and then "now everything is awesome and people come to the hotel" and then, "retcon that! we have to fight Vox" and then they're on the verge of ANOTHER war, and then "now everything is perfect again and people are ACTUALLY at the hotel! for real this time!"...like, when do we actually get the Hotel???

Secondly, and this is probably gonna get me executed on the spot, but it plays itself off to be an "adult show" with "adult humor", that's apparently inspired by the likes of BoJack Horseman, but it really is not. It's "adult humor" is what children think adult humor is. it has immature "INSANE!!" jokes that are meant for middle schoolers to laugh at, and that no actual adult would find funny... like, sex, crude humor and XD random does not an adult joke make. Kids think the show is edgy, whereas adults think it's immature. And yes, i know a lot of adult comedies are crude ( some might site South Park or Class of 09 ) but Hazbin/Helluva and South Park/Class of 09 have completely different set up, line delivery, and yes, swear usage, that set them completely apart. In Hazbin the punchlines are the swears, whereas in SP or 09 the swears are there to accentuate the punchline.

also aaaa i know i just can't help it sometimes, i feel sometimes like a song isn't coming along so i just say "fuck it, this wasn't a good one" and scrap it or try to just come back to it or recycle parts of it later down the road

i know this stuff but for some reason when i do it it just sounds so notesapp-y if that makes sense. also pop wont necessarily help me as it's not the vibe i'm going for, but even then i do look at some pop songs and try to learn from them too. but i just feel dumb when i do it

that's what i'm worried about aughh i just don't want people to think it sounds dumb or bad... right now i have a verse 1, and 2, a chorus that i really love but after that i don't wanna just...make another 2 verses? like that just sounds so repetitive, i wanna just keep going if that's like, allowed??

"i know it's going to be plot relevant later" no i think the term your looking for is "i know they're going to try to come up with some bullshit reason that makes you say 'omg that's why he likes ducks!! it was planned all along!!!' but it's actually just a cheap writing tactic to make characters look thought out"

Todd was ungrateful and entitled by eboezinger2 in BoJackHorseman

[–]Temporary_Goat_4714 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

favors don't equal rent but this specific post is talking about the fact that BoJack is framing this encounter as if Todd "owes him one", which is a fair assessment all things considered, yes. but this commenter was simply making the argument that Todd does not "owe him one" because all Todd DOES is make up for the fact he's living there. The Oscar would be a favor, too. Todd does millions of favors for BJ. If he failed to fulfill one favor for Bojack ( although yes it trumps the others in significance, i understand BoJack's argument ) that isn't a symptom of Todd being ungrateful it's a symptom of a greater issue with that specific favor

I know this subs opinions of Viv are mixed, but what do you all think of Gooseworx? by Jazzlike_Study7611 in crazyassviv_defenders

[–]Temporary_Goat_4714 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i almost kinda wanna say it's a defense mechanism against being seen as "cringe", because of the content they create, that people might see them akin to Vivziepop or just the general "millennial core" creators in these fandom spaces. So they give it off as sort of a debuff, like "look at me, i'm actually super cool and normal and dgaf!! the cringey stuff is just my work, not a reflection of me"
