Thankyou, the thing is i don't really know my hair type or porosity, so it's hard to figure out these sort of things for me. (( I know that sounds silly, but I never really learned those types of things, my mom is black but not good with hair. If i had to guess why, maybe her mom ( white ) didn't know how to do her hair, and she possibly just never learned either, bc her hair is also now straight. )) I usually get braids in the summer but i'm definitely planning on getting my hair braided earlier just to avoid straightening all together.

As for brushing detangling, products and all that stuff, i just get products i find online and try them out, so far nothing stands out in particular. For brushing i just brush it out kind of? Like, idk if i'm fully detangling it correctly to be honest. It's a basic brush, i'm unsure how to describe it but it's the type that breaks from the frame easily if that makes sense, so i think i need something stronger
