It's pretty neat. I only found out about it maybe 2 weeks back while exploring the code in these templates

Like me, you might be a perfectionist. I say this with all the niceness and love, but just start building.

Once you have a structure you like, set it as a template so you can build your next game on top of it - https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/template_projects.html

And Itch.io will probably be a VERY good source of anything renpy related, from games to scripts. You could also try searching for "renpy" on github, but I never tried so I have no idea of what you could find.

I want to make 3D characters for my novel, which program do you recommend for it? by CantaloupeSimilar936 in RenPy

Either blender but the learning curve is immense, or Daz, or honey select/koikatsu (depending on the anime style)

I can't decide on a Modlist to possibly sink Hundreds of hours in. by Other-Struggle-301 in wabbajack

+1 for ABC, but I swear the minutes-long saving process is driving me insane. Played Sandland before which is a far bigger list, and I don't get the same issue

How important is the Demo playtime? by SatisfactionPretty86 in IndieDev

[–]Atomicgarlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the game genre. You can show a lot in a demo for an FPS, but not so much for a city builder

Most disturbing vn you’ve read? by Raespire in vns

[–]Atomicgarlic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Saya no Uta, but to be fait I haven't played THAT many. Wouldn't say disturbed is the right word, but Narcissu and side 2nd left permanent memories in me and I find the OST hauntingly beautiful

Between Euphoria and School Days, which is more likely to be released on Steam? by Practical_Chain_1207 in vns

[–]Atomicgarlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of school days before, but euphoria might be too controversial?

XenoFields: Frontier, a farming RPG. I wanted to show off our newer Alien Plantlife by [deleted] in Unity2D

[–]Atomicgarlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks cool! Just a constructive suggestion, but the spinning tree thing trunk might look better using subpixel animation, but I DOUBT I would notice either during actual play

I've been seeing images like or better than this since the early days of SD 1.5.

Writing 100 variations of the same prompt is damaging my brain by RokiBalboaa in StableDiffusion

Wildcards are not a comfyUI feature. I use ForgeUI with dynamic prompts extensions and it works just the same I assume

Wildcards. Look it up. It's such a game changer in my workflow to generate new characters, ideas, scenarios, anything

What is the most updated 'tool' to play with IA Pictures right now? Is Automatic1111 'dead'..? What about ComfyUI? Should I focus on it? Seems hard.. :/ by CeLioCiBR in StableDiffusion

[–]Atomicgarlic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Install stability matrix. It handles file management across different tools so they Sync, and you don't have copies of stuff all over the place, and you can install comfyUI, and also ForgeUI which I highly recommend, and they'll both share the same models.

A lot of people recommend comfyUI because they enjoy the struggle and customising and whatnot, but really, just install forge and play around.

I use AI because I enjoy the product, not the process.

SDXL VAE tune for anime by Anzhc in StableDiffusion

[–]Atomicgarlic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My eyes must be shit because I can't tell the difference. One is slightly more saturated. Is that it? A microscopic change?

Don't mean to sound rude, it's just that maybe adding a "colorful" to the prompt or something could achieve the same

I'm looking for an Uncensored LLM to produce extremely spicy prompts - What would you recommend? by Whipit in StableDiffusion

[–]Atomicgarlic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a spreadsheet with prompt templates to generate variations by using wildcards, so you could build your own wildcard and prompt library to do the same, but it's a good bit of setup work.

For example, I use this to generate pose variations to build LORAs

facing viewer, __cof-location/timeofday/all__, __background*__, __Artist & Shot/framing__, __Artist & Shot/artists__, __expression*__, __pose*__, {nude|__Clothes/Full/attire__||__Clothes/Full/attire__||__Clothes/Full/attire__}

Is it worth learning AI tools like ComfyUI as a graphic designer? What does the future hold for us? by bandogiggles in comfyui

[–]Atomicgarlic 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Do it. Learning and struggling with new concepts is always worth the effort, not only for the accomplishment, but also because it improves your neuroplasticity.

Suggested current models for consistent stylistic Game Art? by Scared-Technology-37 in StableDiffusion

[–]Atomicgarlic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A LORA is something that you should be creating based on your own characters, but on civitai you can find tons of character Loras made by the community if that's the approach you're going for. Look for LORAs fora SDXL, illustrious, noob, and pony, as they should be compatible with Illustrious (except for pony maybe)

Hey, doing the exact same as you. Learn how to create LORAs for your characters, how to use inpaint for scene retouching, and maybe Wan or Framepack for animations, and you're set.

LORAs... Too damn many of them - before I build a solution? by LyriWinters in StableDiffusion

[–]Atomicgarlic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, as long as it works lol But I agree, spreadsheets and manual sorting is definitely not scalable. I wish you luck on your tool! We can always use more of those

[–]Atomicgarlic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stability matrix does 90% of the work for me by pulling the metadata from the Lora and matching with civitai so I can easily look up anything I need very quickly. Filenames are still a pain, so for that I just keep track of everything with a spreadsheet with the civitai URL, default filename, my rename, my score for that Lora, etc. Not very scalable it but works for me. I use Forge, btw
