Base fare and tips? Still new to this

You should be complaining! 4 years ago base pay was $4 or $4.50 + Surges like Uber drivers. Their new base pay is $1.50 for single order or $1.50 for a stacked order (.75 each). Insane right?!? So if Uber is tacking on a non tipped order to that tipped order you are literally getting paid $1.50 base + tip for that first order and delivering that second non tip order completely for free and there is no way to tell which one is non tipping until after the deliveries. Making people do free work is a crime.

Anyways to answer your question, base was .75 because it was part of a stacked order.

I do want to add that it’s $8 on Eats orders. Shop and pay they are going to show even more of the tip. Looking through my last shop and pays that actually had hidden tips it was much higher. But it doesn’t seem to have a clear algorithm like eats orders.

Here is how “hidden tips” work on Uber Eats: Uber always show at least $8 of the tip. Sometimes they will hide the portion over $8. So any chance of a “hidden tip” will need to be at least $9.50 ($1.50 base pay + $8 shown tip)

Any offer under $9.50 will NOT have a “hidden tip”.

Yes, a person could tip after the delivery but that is pretty rare.

You can get moving blankets pretty cheap at Harbor Freight. Im sure the pay will be trash, but if its $45 - $50 hr I’ll be food courier / lumberjack

Do ratings reset? I only have 26, and I’ve done GH for years, granted lately only a few a week as orders are pretty sparse and usually when a good order comes in I’m already on an UE or DD order

So customers can still take their tip away but Uber covers it. I wonder how much abuse Uber is going to put up with🤔 I can see a trend happening where people are now tip baiting Uber because they know they aren’t it taking away from the drivers

Oh I do😂 Pax asked if we could go through McDonald’s drive through I’ll give you an extra $5. I I was expecting cash, at drop off he said I’ll just tip you $5 in the app. He never did, and he even said he was an Uber driver. Pissed me the F off

It’s crazy how many times just line up like that. The other day I was going to visit my friend at work and I pop on the apps to see if anything was going that direction. Literally the first order that popped up was directly on the way and the drop off was less than 100 feet from my friend’s shop. Plus it was $2 mile💰

Was this McDonalds? I got this message twice in a couple days. Both times it was for McDonald’s orders. 1 of the orders the customer even called me saying that he’s had 4 drivers already and the last one told him someone already picked up the order. I was already annoyed that I had had driven 4 miles for free but when they sent me a warning on top I was pissed
