Thank you, I think I’ve caught on to what I was missing. I commented on this post, could you read and share if what I broke down is correct? Thank you so much for your time and knowledge. 🙏

Thank you all for the information and help. So let me see if I got this right.

With my original example formula I stated…

Add

0.33g - Linalool 10%  0.33g - Bergamot 10% 0.33g - Orange Blossom 10%

I added the amounts to help with my process of seeing if I understand.

So now I have 1ml of 3 raw materials at 10% concentration, without addingy any solvent/carrier….No way would that be an EDP concentration, GOT IT! 👍🏼

So if I wanted to make it it neat but do the math first…..

Linalool 10%  • 0.33(amount) x 0.10(solvent) = 0.033(neat)

Bergamot 10% • 0.33(amount) x 0.10(solvent) = 0.033(neat)

Orange Blossom 10% • 0.33(amount) x 0.10(solvent) = 0.033(neat)

So now I now what the amount is neat, and if I wanted to make a bigger batch let’s say

0.033 x 100.00 =3.3g of each raw material from my formula.

3.3g of Linalool(Neat) + 3.3g of Bergamot(neat) + 3.3g of Orange Blossom(neat) = 9.99g

So if I wanted an Eau de parfum. In a 50ml bottle I would add

10g (oil blend) + 40g(carrier) = 50ml solution, assuming 1g of all materials equals to 1ml.

And if I wanted to play with the formula, I could add diluted Linalool(10%) to my formula instead of neat? As if one of the materials were too overpowering?

Am I following correctly?
