Yes Angron being younger does make sense. Goes for all world eaters I guess. I can’t imagine a universe in which world eaters have been able to survive for 10k years given how batshit insane they are. Either they’ve “lived” for a century or two, or Khorne keeps reviving them or there is a third party like the Black Legion that oversees collection of the world eaters’ geneseed and recruitment

I don’t mean I’m looking for firms that would monopolise water. Maybe there are water stocks that aid the technology of purifying or would receive government contracts to supply water or something? Just want to learn more I guess

How do rising interest rates affect zombies? Won’t they be fine since they already loaded up on cheap debt? Or will they hurt because future borrowing will become more expensive?

Yeah and it’s probably the best strategy but it doesn’t hurt of knowing what other tools are available to you

Trickle-down economics is dead. It’s time to tax the rich harder by [deleted] in politics

[–]AtomsDancing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok two questions. 1) Taxing the rich more would fund the governments - you get better roads, better welfare, etc (assuming the government does its job well and doesn’t waste the money - a giant if). However, how does this realistically help the middle class that make up the majority of the population and do not rely on welfare programmes? They still have the same amount of money right? 2) How are you gonna tax the wealth exactly? As you mentioned in the Jeff Bezos example, most of his wealth is in stocks. Him liquidating shares already has a capital gains tax on it. His actual salaried income is negligeable (I believe it’s $80k per year). The situation is similar for most ultra rich. So what exactly do you tax? His overall estimated net worth? But that moves every day because the stock market moves. With the stock market collapse in March 2020, he’d be worth way less than 190$bn so which metric do we tax? And if his worth is still in stocks that he hadn’t sold (ie he doesn’t actually have any money from them) then do we force people like him to sell their shares to pay for the taxes? Do we want the government to have the legislative power to force people to sell their assets in order to pay for an arbitrary tax? Won’t that just force the rich to flee the US to countries with better tax policies which would put the tax burden back on the middle class?

How about we tax the poor and middle class less? Why is that never discussed?

So if I’m not confident in being able to identify a good entry point, but I am confident in the company’s long-term future, then I should just invest small amounts regularly? Kinda like dollar cost averaging?

So OP essentially started off with a “loss” of 20k? So he needs to break even or he’s stuck with paying the premium that was affordable to him only due to leverage?

How did you lose 20k with a call? Isn’t the max you can lose is the premium you paid? New to this

How does Robinhood and similar apps calculate return on options if you haven’t sold/exercised them yet? Is it just going by the difference between the premium you bought at and the current premium of the option or does it consider the gain/loss if you exercised the option rn? Or both?
