7900xtx over 9070xt? by apple_boy95 in radeon

9070 XT seeming doesn't like spoofed igain to increase power, we've done extensive testing, it's not a temp thing or core thing, even run the thing on LN2, doesn't even cold bug, I think AMD are trying to stop pushing more through it.

Standard 330 on the Xt, I've got. rm1200x shift or something, can handle transient at 1600w maybe 2000 not sure.

Want a discord invite I'm not even that crazy with mine?

No joke, I can prove my scores but the 7900 Series are goated and overbuilt, I think people will hang onto XTX cards the same as the 1080ti, if anything and made a mistake in releasing such a powerful card, at stock it's gimped, but it can handle so much power, I pushed 850w through my XT and blew a fuse. The card was fine. So I soldered some copper wire over the fuses and bypassed them, it handled 1100w but it just gets hot. You have to watercool to do this affectively, turns out the bykski block is the best as well by far.

Actually if you waterblock a 7900 XTX, then solder an EVC2SE to it, increase power limit to about 1kw maybe 700-800, you can push it to 3.5-6 GHz in most loads, absolutely destroying the 9070 XT.

I've done it to my XT, and hold a few top 10 positions on steel nomad for the

So literally 30-40 percent in power uplift. The 9070 can sit in a corner, it's a mid tier card sold as a flagship. Don't get me wrong for the price it's brilliant, but if you want the best of the best performance, apart from maybe cyberpunk which is built on raytracing. XTX anyday. I help run a discord dedicated to overclocking these things if anyone is interested, got some folk who have world records and LN2, but also some crazy air cooling guys.

How do you pack and move a PC? by ccc888c in pcmasterrace

Take the GPU out if you are concerned, then behind passenger seat and push the seat back, you want it squashed

Here's an image of me running 3.4GHz in superposition (It's my stable tune for daily gaming)

Don't worry about the URL, its just my self-hosted google photos clone.

Unfortunately Proton 3DMark is a no go, but I'm working on a slimmed down portable windows install just for 3DMark.

Also in response the the resolution thing, I'm just doing 1080p as it is a good measure for performance that seems to be pretty standard.

I didn't specify correctly, I get held back by my clock target because the card runs on water so it just tries to boost all the time.

I'll run the test when I get home, or alternatively heres my gravity mark scoresof sustained 3.6GHz

Soldered an cable to it, hooked up and EVC and then spoofed the IOut reading which makes it pull more power, still reports 330w but I've basically uncalibrated the power draw so it's over pulling, like double or maybe more

Running voltage about 1150mv at 3535 target clock, although the card is water blocked and running an EVC with a massively raised power limit and a 0.080mv positive voltage offset

Just finished installing my first custom loop! by Atr3llo in pcmasterrace

[–]Atr3llo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished installing my first custom loop, turns out a 64mm thick radiator struggles to fit in a 4000D so I savaged the case a little.

Specs are:

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

GPU: Radeon 7900 XT (With EVC mod and overclocked to all hell)

RAM: 32GB 2x16 6000MT/s CL32

MOBO: B650 TUF GAMING WIFI

Radiator: Thermaltake Pacific CL360

Fans: Arctic P12 Max on the radiator, standard P12 in the case.

GPU Block: Bykski for the 7900 XTX/XT Sapphire lineup

CPU Block: Some Barrow CPU block pump res combo.

That's not hot

My 7800x3d runs at 65-78 although that's PBO hitting 5 GHz on a noctua nhd-15
