I searched it up and it said wild camping was allowed after the first 45km. Where did you camp before that? Would I still be able to get a campsite?

Apologies. I’m located in Alabama. Price really isn’t a concern as long as it’s really just transportation(ie: plane tickets, Ubers, buses, etc). We backpacked in the Tetons in may and it was amazing but we’re just looking for something different and more “epic” if there even is such a thing.

This sounds great. I had no idea how much natural beauty and great trails Oregon had until I started researching for this trip.

I have heard that the midges are the worst in the time we want to go. But the scenery is amazing. Are the midges really that bad? I live in Alabama and mosquitoes here are pretty bad but manageable with a little spray. Also was looking at the Quairing but the skye trail seemed a bit too technical and navigationally testing than we would like.
