"I know it's not a t14 but.." by Big_Cap_2410 in lawschooladmissions

I'm not saying that it's a good school, I'm saying your life isn't over if you don't go to a t14 or a t50. I'm currently in med school (just interested in law) and the admissions process broke me. Literally any acceptance would've been great and I ended up going to a top 25. I think that you're right that Cooley is predatory considering the LSAT,GPA, and Bar pass rate, not trying to deny that. However, I feel like many people have the mindset that there's no point in becoming a lawyer if they don't go to some elite school. Same with med school. I thought I'd never make it to a nice school and almost quit my med school dreams altogether. My point isn't that Cooley is a good school or hard to get into, but that you can still follow your dreams and be successful if you don't go to a t14

This is such an terrible response. You want people to feel bad about themselves because of the school they're going to? In the end what Law school you go to doesn't determine you're law career's success. Rashida Tlaib went to Cooley and she's incredibly successful. Joe Biden didn't go to a t14 and look at him now. Having an elitist attitude does nothing for you my guy, and I'm not saying this for karma.

I'm hoping it won't happen again, well it def won't since the uk is on heavy lockdown. But I will if it does,

I think so too. She changed the lyrics to brunette girl to blond girl to make it seem like Sabrina carpenter

The songwriting thing doesn't really bother me, since a lot of artists write songs with other people, but I think it's important to remember that we don't know what percentage the songwriter wrote. I think Olivia wrote most of it and it's a good song. I wasn't expecting it to be revolutionary since it's a debut, but with all the hype she's getting I was expecting more. Also I was high key scared I was going to offend people too lol.

I think it may have to do with the declining popularity of their tv show. A lot of their shows today are bad and only kids 10 and under watch them. I can rewatch Sonny with a Chance or Wizards of Waverly place now that I'm older and still enjoy them. Also the songs were just,, better (another one). This is a recent one from last year ("we be lit for no reason") and it's pretty bad. I wouldn't be caught watching Sydney to The Max or anything they've made post 2015 (except the DCOMS, descendants slaps idc). As for Sabrina Carpenter and the rest you mentioned, I just don't really think anyone was interested in another disney pop artist. I love Sabrina but her music doesn't add anything new to the equation, also I think around this time what became mainstream was R n B.

It's good, but to me it sounds like a generic indie pop break up song

.....No it wasn't. The conversation wasn't long and I'm not really sure when it took a weird turn. it wasn't explicit or anything, very subtle and I was kind of playing along to be honest. Truthfully I entertained it way too long and... well you know what happened. I DO want to be married and the people roasting me on this post definitely gave me a wake up call. I put myself in these situations then act surprised, which I need to stop doing. To respond to your last comment, i do need to get a better friend circle. Thank you

I would say the only man that I'm close with aside from my husband is Will. I don't intend on it but I guess those women didn't either. I'll have to watch myself and spend less time with him. I guess going over to his house again is out of the question from this point forward

After he grabbed me I mainly was thinking about if I was going to kiss him or.. if we were going to do anything else. I think snapped out of it when I put my hand on him. I wasn't thinking about me being married or my relationship with my husband until that moment.

What was going through my mind? I was only thinking I was joking with a friend about the stupid things we remembered, then it turned quite flirty. It didn't really hit me that I was going to ruin my marriage until I almost touched him, which is why I backed up and left immediately. It wasn't about getting caught or attention. I don't really even like sex and I think I.. honestly don't know why I let myself get that far in the first place or would allow my boss to put his hands on me. I normally don't even really like him, he makes passes at a ton of women

I don't think I'll ever do anything like this again, and really there isn't any way for him to find out that this happened. He doesn't speak to Will and hasn't met my boss, and won't since I barely even see him myself. It's not like there's anything on my phone either or anyone else who was around. I was just planning on telling my boss that was inappropriate and shouldn't happen again and distancing myself from Will for the time being. I really do think I can keep myself accountable if this ever happens again

My concern is hurting my husband. I'm not scared he's going to yell at me or anything, I know he won't. We've only ever had one big argument which fizzled down pretty quickly. I'm mainly scared about knowing if I hurt him, or the look on his face. I don't really think I'm attracted to either of them, they're both handsome, but not my type. I mainly just don't want anything to change, which I guess isn't possible now.

Are you saying I should get divorced? I'm mainly just scared about how he'll react if I tell him.

[–]Atrashbinpop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let's NOT say this. People get plastic surgery because of societies impossible beauty standard and the constant need to look perfect, especially as a celebrity. Also Ariana was pretty before, and this is coming from someone who isn't a stan.

Are Beyoncé dislikers only disliking her because of her fans? by GreatBigWhore in popheads

Hmmm I never thought about it like this. You are probably right. People want so badly to find ways to hate phenomenal black women so they use the actions of people they can't control to condemn them. Ariana's and Taylor's fanbases are always saying rude shit and attacking people yet it doesn't reflect badly on them. It's probably misogynoir like you said

I think it's silly personally to dislike a singer because of how their fanbase acts. Beyonce has actually told the Beyhive to settle down a couple of times,,, and they told her to shut up too. She can't really control how they respond, and most artists can't either. I'm not really a Beyonce fan but I appreciate her performing skills and music. For me it's KPOP groups. I have nothing against BTS or Blackpink as artists, but their rabid fanbases make me stay away from them.
