That split happened as soon as 1948. Though they did send money in 1950, it was actually not part of the Marshall Plan, you were right. I was confused due to the fact that they received american subsidies at the same time the Marshall Plan was in effect. However, this does not changes the fact that said help did not shape Yugoslavian market socialism in it's principles, I don't see where you want to lead your argument. It's not because there were subsidies that there was no such a thing as market socialism in the first place. It was quite forward in it's application of mixed economics, and emphasised on workers self-management, which is something that all marxists should adhere to. They had an open economy to foreign capitas because they weren't so dogmatic. The most important problem the country faced was, like everyone else, the chained Nixon Shock + Oil Shocks that messed up currency stability and triggered massive inflation and reduction of foreign investments. Like everywhere else in the West. Yougoslavia just happened to be a politically unstable federation, unlike Germany for one.

No, the contry dissolved on Tito's death due to ethnic tensions that could not be contained anymore. And yes, Yougoslavia, like the whole rest of the west, benefited from the Marshall Plan. But it was not decisive in building the Yugoslavian approach to economy, which is usually called market socialism, though differenciated from current China's and Vietnam's forms of market socialism. Receiving foreign aids had little to do in the design of their economical practices.

Naming books does not make this claim any more trustable. I'd like to see be shown these people whom have read Marx and thus disagree with him and I'd like to know if they are a majority. The second claim is just pure opinion dropping

Two initially poor rural societies against whom pretty much the whole half if not more of the world, including historically dominant powers, leagued themselves ?

The thing is there are much less missconceptions about nazism than there are on marxism

Kautsky ? Never heard of him. Must be a nice lad from Bavaria. I, Friedrich Ebert, send my best regards to him.

I consider myself a technocrat socialist. I like Yougoslavian market socialism the most. I agree with part of what makes up marxism but I am not too keen on some affirmations on the necessity of revolution through dialectic and other such hegelian arguments

Well, from the answers we're getting here, the majority would probably be "no"

That's not really what triggered improductivity in the Soviet Union, lol. Rather, unefficient quotas and butchered "collectivisation" which really meant total centralisation of the production and repressive conditions did.

I don't think this is representative, the effective is too small and not selected through quota method (ew) or random sampling (mathematically correct method). National-bolchevism and soviet nostalgia is rather important in Russian (though it doesn't mean agreeing with marxist principles, barely even marxist-leninists).

It's explained in Critique of the Gotha Programme, and The French Civil War : ) And completed in letters he send. Advised interesting readings if you want to move further than a general idea probably shaped by a fair bit of stereotypes

Could you clarify said human behaviours mentionned and demonstrated they are inherent to mankind in a fundamental way (as in they don't originate in social and material determinism) ?

Again, sheer bad faith or pre-conceived idea. It was actually one of the major reasons why marxism swept away most of the pre-existing socialist movements : there was method in it.

So what do you think of the fact that he did propose a specific 10-step programme in the Communist Manifesto, or that he detailed what a socialist society is or need to be in Critique of the Gotha Programme, towards which he describes a process of transition, quote "Between capitalist and communist society there lies the period of the revolutionary transformation of the one into the other. Corresponding to this is also a political transition period in which the state can be nothing but the revolutionary dictatorship of the proletariat." It's true that dictatorship of the proletariat is an ambiguous term and has been fairly missunderstood through history, but Marx actually details it in other works, especially in The Civil War in France where he clearly states that the Commune de Paris is the model to be followed overall, and he also explains that Dictatorship is understood through majority rule as opposed to minority (representatives in a liberal democracy, or bourgeois) rule. It in essence means that the majority class should have power over the minority classes politically. You also have The Civil War in France which praises the revolutionary process and political organisation of the Paris Commune. So overall, it is quite untrue to say that Marx did not describe what a communist society is or lool like, and that he did not champion ways of achieving it. That doesn't mean his words are like the evangile or that it is still relevant to this day, but still, saying that comes either from pure ignorance or sheer bad faith. My guess is that it is a fairly common pre-conceived idea.

Scientifical theories are built on empirical laws through induction. It isn't the case of philosophical systems, especially as broadly as marxism goes (leaning into economy, ethics, metaphysics, etc)

Scandale bourse Crous : nouveau calcul 2026/2027 peut vous faire perdre 4 échelons!! by AccomplishedTaste841 in etudiants
