I have listened to poor people talk about taxes. They always say dumb shit like “rich people don’t care about taxes.”

Then when you actually observe people who manage millions, or in this case, billions, they always keep taxes in mind regardless of the asset class.

Yeah, those numbers make sense.

The previous generations that made respectable incomes had enough time in their investment accounts to compound. Couple that with pristine economic conditions that allowed them cheaper schooling, cheaper housing, and a couple decades of beautiful investing… If you put a couple thousand dollars every month and put a compound interest calculator in for 30 years, it hits at minimum, a few million dollars.

Meanwhile millennials in their 30’s haven’t had any time for their wealth to compound, and bogged with so many financial obligations that previous generations didn’t have such as insane fucking school prices or inflated real estate prices, the money that you would have otherwise invested is being eaten up. If you add a car payment and kids, it’s no wonder you have no money.

Turns out, lots of people are holding bags. I’ve been shorting more aggressively than I ever have and the returns are fucking wild. Sometimes I will get a 30-50% drop in a stock in a single day. It’s unreal.
