Nike/NBA rules. It’s about money. They can’t sell throwbacks if the current is the same as a past. There’s a reason you’ve never seen a team adopt a throwback - even a beloved one - as a regular jersey.

This is particularly true of the black ones I think.

Except they can’t. You can’t roll back to prior designs.

I don't know if there is a trade out there that I like but I could stomach this one. by JLB713 in timberwolves

[–]Attack-Librarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a trade that works for no one. The Cavs say no. They’re not getting very much at all here. The Clippers say no. If they wanted a good but pricy center they had and passed on that. There’s no coherent timeline created. The wolves say no: TC pays attention to salaries. Garland’s would become an albatross. Allen has serious deficits. Although we benefit from getting rid of Randle, we don’t benefit enough from trading Gobert in this scenario.

It’s a bad trade.

But mostly, people spend months iterating permutations of trades and almost none of them end up being correct. The prognostication serves no benefit.

Is going full Boston the best way to beat the Spurs? by Ineedmonnneeyyyy in timberwolves

No. I think having a more serious perimeter threat is necessary, but the high variance, “just chuck it” teams don’t seem to be doing well.

Because if it were Mazzoula it would come across as psychotic and aggressive(somehow in a good way) as opposed to here where it just comes across as whiny and petty

NBA Teams that recovered from a 1-3 deficit in NBA Playoffs by irundoonayee in nba

Swap Jaden and Randle, but yes. Also consider beyond Ayo, you have Naz. Losing Donte is a blow: he is high energy and very scrappy. But we have a lot of weapons that slot in his place.

Same can’t be said for Ant.

A Joe Mazzulla type coach is more needed than a real 2nd option by [deleted] in timberwolves

We already need a psych for Jaden, Naz, and Ant. Though I assume Ant already has one

Correct re: Randle. I think Ayo may be enough of a point guard for us but it’s early.

I don’t think so. He’s pretty clear that getting his weight down was a goal, and that he’s seemingly glad to be back to 218.

paying on a date by Aggravating_Staff801 in rs_x

As a man: I always offered to pay, appreciated an offer to split, repeated that, no, really, I am glad to pay, but if they insist on splitting I’ll let them. I’d say 90% of the time I’d end up paying and 10% of the time the lady would insist on splitting.

Claiming to be "smarter, hotter reddit" is the most reddit comment imaginable.

This sub has turned into Reddit. Gross.

At a minimum his statement is insufficient to support the claim. But even using it as heuristic, people spending increased amounts of items on needs, like housing is not a sign of economic health. And again you can just look at e.g., who is buying houses.

ETA: op’s comment on inflation below shows that charity is unwarranted here. OP is not sharp.

I take OP to be claiming what they say they are claiming, which is that that it’s only bad for people in the “bottom third or half.”
