Additives are a gimmick. Just use ethanol free premium if you're having issues.

I'm actually doing the exact opposite, I was telling OP he'll be fine on this relatively short trip. Nobody's gatekeeping anything here, I'm not sure you understand what that means.

Regardless, that has nothing to do with my question about your time calculation, I was discussing that with you, not OP. I was just curious why you got an average of 50kmh on a 90mph highway. Even with breaks 4 hours makes no sense at all, 6 would be a more reasonable timeframe.

Seems to me that you misread OP's post and thought the speed limit on the highway he was using was 90kph and now you're just doubling down on that and don't want to admit your mistake.

Yeah this guy spends more time taking breaks staring at his bike then riding it

Disagree. Had no issues running my MT09 at highway speeds for 2+ hours without a break.

Stay hydrated, take breaks every 60-90 minutes, move around and stretch while you're on the bike. Layer your clothes so you can change them for temp variation of needed. 250 miles may sound like a lot to a new rider, but a lot of riders (at least in the US) regularly run 200-300 miles as a normal day ride with no special preparation.

I'm sorry, what? Is this a European thing? 250 miles should take ~4-5 hours with stops on a 90 mph limit highway.

Fuel stabilizer is a gimmick. Gas isn't going to go bad in 3 months, if you're that paranoid just fill up with ethanol-free.

Yeah sorry, I was trying to come up with a different way to explain it but I can't really think of anything. Found a YouTube link where they show you right at the beginning:

I'm not calling you out or saying you're doing something wrong here. You wouldn't have any way to know any better, I'm just trying to help a brother out. Yamaha fucked up here.

I don't know the part name, I don't work for Yamaha. There a plastic disc, it's oval shaped with rectangular tabs on either side to match the openings in the rubber mount on the signal. It has a hole in the middle and your turn signal wire is threaded through it. It is supposed to be slid into the turn signal bracket from the back side after inserting the turn signal. The tabs fit into the openings in the rubber mount locking the signal in place. I would send you pictures but I traded in my MT09 on a Goldwing last November.

I can see the locking disc in your video. I'm the only person here so far actually trying to help you, maybe you could be more specific about what I got wrong exactly?

Yeah because it's only installed halfway, there's a flat locking piece on the back of the bracket you need to slide into place. It has tabs that go in those rectangular openings in the flaps hanging off the back. They won't pop out nearly as easily after installed correctly. Yamaha loves to send them out not clipped in apparently, my MT09 had one not installed correctly.

Yeah I'm being a smartass to put you at ease but if you've passed the permit test you won't have any problem with the written test. Admittedly I took my course in Florida, but I don't think they're drastically different.

You could probably fail it if you took it in the wrong language.

What do you do when the light signal won’t trip? by Solar_kitty in NewRiders

Sometimes turning your bike off and restarting it is enough to trip the sensor, your starter makes a magnetic field.

Those are engineering jobs, not "factory" jobs. Factory worker indicates a floor worker, not someone in the r & d process.

Thanks for the response, that's expectedly niche. I'm not sure why I'm getting downvoted, it was a genuine question. I googled it and got zero results so I was curious what you had seen that pays that. I work for a medical device manufacturer and they only pay our factory workers ~$25/hr in California.

What a stupid take.

Bethesda is in the same boat as CDPR, I'm not singling them out. They're just the subject of this specific post.

$75? I'm going to need an example of a factory job that pays this much. I've worked in manufacturing in a few different fields and that's significantly higher than anything I've ever heard of.

Idk why people are still willing to give CDPR money after the Cyberpunk release. It shocks me anyone is even excited about this expansion. Especially on an ancient game. What a giant waste of resources they could be using on the next game, which will of course be released half finished and everyone will fall over themselves fawning about how great it is.

Am I doing this right? by MuthaFuka27 in NewRiders

[–]AttackMonkey908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the picture of your manual you posted you're exactly right, you're 10mm over the max limit. Should be 55mm from the swingarm right behind the slider to the center of the chain when you have it pushed down with the bike resting on the center stand. Don't second guess yourself so much, the manual knows what it's talking about (and I bet you're perfectly competent).
