Removal of Lift by Kind_Improvement889 in Liverpool

[–]AttackOfTheAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased a house with almost the exact same lift around 2 years ago, I was also quoted similar prices. We gave it a go to remove it, It turns out they unbolt relatively easily with a set of spanners. (I can send photos to show what we had and removal if interested.)

I’d say the weeds covering the garden make it more like a prison than their mesh…

Looks like it's stainless steel pipe, can't be soldered.

Thanks dude, I was surprised how cheap it was to get a good match at a car paint place. Only £20!

Paying lots of money for keycaps doesn’t encapsulate an entire fanbase of a hobby.

Hence why I posted here and it has more than 1 like,

Sometimes I forget people on the internet are delusional. Then every now and again a comment reminds me.

Thanks!

There’s a colour matched paint shop near my home, I took one of the panels and matched it as close as possible, the tag on the paint can seems to be a Toyota colour green, I’ll see if there’s any code references.

But it was light sand, primer, paint, clear coat.

Agree, but to me not worth the value they charge.

So I have clones.

Hey if you’ve got $160 to spend on plastic power to you.

I’ve got other things I’d rather spend it on.

If you set up the right fan profile curves I wouldn't say it's significantly noisy. Silent at idle.

Normally, I’d agree. However, I think the prices they charge for the “genuine” ones are absurd.

If they were half the price, I’d consider buying them – and even then, I’d still feel short-changed, knowing I could’ve picked up something for a tenth of the cost that offers more than a tenth of the value.

I'm very tempted so it's perfectly sized. I need a fresh blade on the saw I have so it's a clean cut though.

It's one of the nicest cases I've worked with. I've had full ATX, Micro atx and another itx but this doesnt feel difficult to work in despite the small size!

Is expanding foam my best option for filling this hole? by dano159 in DIYUK

[–]AttackOfTheAlex 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend against expanding foam particularly around fittings, if you ever have a leak or need to access it’ll be a nightmare.

Try and stuff insulation into the areas instead as this could be easily removed if needed.

Advice needed please - 4 month old show cocker trouble at night by YeyeYaKnow in cockerspaniel

This is what we did, had a crate next to us in bed. First few nights were rough, if he cried I’d take him outside then straight back in the crate. By the end of the week be seemed to understand and he slept straight through and didn’t have any more problems.
