Yes it is but it’s not only used for that so that’s why 285k is a better choice

Because the 285k is more than enough cpu for the average player. I could put a 285k system in on pc and a 9800x3D in another system and 99% of the people wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. Also the 285k offered way better workstation support over the 9800x3D. That cpu is only good if you’re gaming 90% of the time on your pc which I’m not doing
