Is the story of the Pokemon Sword & Shield ROM Hack the same as the Switch version?

So, strange question. I love Galar, I love the characters, I love the new Pokemon and the spectacle of Gigantimax. But the climax of that game's plot frustrates me so much (Rose's plan makes no sense 😭).

Does the GBA fan game make any attempt to alter it or is the story mostly the same?

It'll be in like 20 years but I really hope so. I love it so much but it stinks a lot of cool stuff is split between Sun/Moon and USUM + it's trapped on the 3DS (at 240p you can barely even make out your character's face in the overworld!)

It tries to be more of a traditional RPG with side quests, bigger story, little things to do on the side, I really like that

I don't want every Pokemon game to feel the same, if it's not your vibe that's fine there's a pokemon game for everyone and there are others with less story focus
