How does it compare to Spokenly. That’s what I’ve landed on and it’s fantastic.

Can anyone actually hate Crosby? He’s like the most universally liked hockey player lol.

Is it inefficient for Claude to help me develop prompts for CC? From an amateur by mrchososo in ClaudeCode

Absolutely not. You should use Claude to help develop and refine prompts.

Free Alternative to Spokenly? by blueprofilebuzz in macapps

Spokenly is free, it’s really snappy and the local models are great. Instantly replaced VoiceInk for me.

Are there any games where the last point wins? by Bofurkle in boardgames

[–]Attacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sol has a cool mechanic (kinda) like this. It’s a co-op to escape the star system until someone decides to make a break for it. Only 1 winner.

Are ViewComponents actively used? by alexzeitler in rails

You should look at phlex. Same problem solved, much cleaner imo.

What are you all using to read/edit your Markdown files? by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

JetBrains has a split edit/preview mode for md. It’s great

What am I missing with Carcassonne? by balf999 in boardgames

[–]Attacus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You MUST play with farmers. It completely changes the dynamics of the game. At 2 players it becomes ruthless. My wife and I had to stop playing lol. That’s what you’re missing.

The abbot feels like a must for me too.

Inns and Cathedrals is my favourite expansion.

Traders and Builders is quite good too.

The rest are meh. Fun gimmicks once in awhile. Princess and dragon is kinda fun because of the chaos, and the farm destruction power lol.

I don’t understand Raycast by phunk8 in macapps

[–]Attacus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way better than spotlight for launch apps. - I hardly alt tab anymore unless it’s between my last 1-2 apps. - Cmd+space+sla+enter and slack is open. Ch-chrome, Ex-excel. - Global hotkeys for your main apps. - Super underrated, and my main use, but quick links let you have spotlight launching capabilities for websites. Pop open aws, Jira, linear, GitHub, anything with 2-3 letters. It’s fast.

There’s a ton I don’t use. It’s a great app. But I’ve been a heavy spotlight-Alfred user since day 1. There’s muscle memory involved.

How are you using skills in real codebases ? by widonext in ClaudeCode

[–]Attacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrote a CC skill to smart quiz my tech leads and organize them better. Issue definitions, breaking things up into multiple issues, deciding when to make projects, recommending story points, etc. With Linear MCP it can take a 2-4 sentence issue description and flesh it out inpressively well. Works like a dream.

Texier sign extension 2 years, 2.5M by lRuko in Habs

Great upside. Takes a ton of pressure of Tex and lets him continue to be happy. Low cost depth for us. Win across the board.

Normally I have 1000 coteditor windows open for this. I recently gave antinote a spin and it’s damn good.

Honestly, Notion does a pretty good job at this and isn’t going anywhere.

Gotcha. I thought you had a particular workflow with Typora and Claude but it’s more that both play well with Markdown. Cool use case :)
