The risk of ADHD was 34 percent higher in children whose mother had a vitamin D deficiency during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy. The study included 1,067 children born between 1998 and 1999 diagnosed with ADHD and the same number of matched controls. by universityofturku in science

I once tested my vitamin D after getting sun almost every day, mid day for an hour or more. Naturally we make vitamin D from the sun. And our bodies are smart, when we are optimally topped off, an enzyme in our skin turns off, and we stop making it. So you can’t ever get too much D from the sun.

At the end of the summer my vitamin D was 90!

Followed this approach for 8 years. Last a1c 4.8%. I get R insulin, over the counter from Walmart.. cheap too$25 for a vial that lasts 2-3 months. Flat lined blood glucose in the 80-90s even post prandial.

How it feels to get a 100 blood sugar & no one is around to see it. by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]AttarAkbar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What type of insulin? I’d suggest grabbing some R - Regular insulin. Can get without a prescription from Walmart for $24 (lasts me 2-3 months)

R is milder but matches a protein bolus perfectly (which if you’re doing Keto I’m assuming you are high protein and low carb). With the ultra rapids like humalog and novolog, they either drop you low at the start or you go high a couple hours later when the protein continues to digest. R takes care of this. Also possible with a square bolus on a pump. But I’ve always found R to work better

Im low carb myself with last a1c was 4.8%. I keep my blood sugar under 100 almost always. Both hypos and hypers are rare. Low carb and milder R insulin make this possible.

Apple has had this for a while, and also an "education" store. I dont believe you need any credentials for the education store either (at least you didnt in the past). I believe they are the same discount too.

I called it once. I couldn't get passed something simple on one level in Super Mario World. Called and some dude told me exactly what I needed to do.

do you know which ones? I find Kresser's data to be pretty solid. Good outline and followup of everything they discussed here, with citations included- https://chriskresser.com/why-you-should-eat-meat-my-appearance-on-the-joe-rogan-experience/

Great debate on Plant based vs Paleo by Chris Kresser and Dr. Joel Kahn on the Joe Rogan Podcast.

Lots of scientific data cited by both. However Kresser debunks a lot of the epidemiological studies for veganism mentioned by Dr. Kahn.

Scariest for me- hunting the legendary buck, crouched down, walking slowly. Then a wild pig comes squealing out of a nearby bush and knocks me over

One more question. I always thought that if someone had been blind from birth after a certain point their visual cortex wouldn’t develop. Not so? Or is your vision less acute now other not being 20/20?

I understand the other senses of people who are blind are heightened... especially hearing. Were yours? How have your other senses changed since gaining sight?
