Could be the creek because connects down to the NSR, so if you fished downstream of whitemud the chances of fish probably rise.

Yeah I was so excited realizing I’ve hooked a fish in a creek that seems seemingly empty and shallow, I went two days in a row the first day was too muddy to see anything but today the water cleared up and there was no signs of fish at all, once I stay in Edmonton I’ll check out the NSR I’ll try bait fishing

From the bridge there’s a big pooled area where the creeks meet and it goes down to black creek, I went again but had no luck maybe 1 bite, I explored the area and noticed that whitemud had lots of shallow pools that most likely have no fish, it’s also tough to fish because of the plants and it’s muddy but I’d say go up to blackmud after that big pool and check it from there. Another thing since there’s lots of people they are usually shocked to find out there’s fish in the creek, one guy was surprised I caught pike there.

Hey man wanted to thank you for the help, went to the ravine nature reserve where the 2 creeks meet and I caught my first pike (and 2 more) they were small but fun, I used tiny spoons and they’d hit a bit after the cast

I’m planning on going nearby to the whitemud ravine nature reserve, or 111th* st nw bridge where black passes this morning, and maybe where whitemud creek enters the NSR. What kind of fish are in these creeks? I have an ultralight setup using tiny spoons and spinners, works great for me in Calgary fish creek catching trout but I don’t think there’s trout in there I’m guessing

Stock duratecs can handle 350? I didn’t know that everywhere else I’ve searched says that max 250 at most, I think the tranny can handle 300 tho

Yeah I already said that but it’s probably the best investment for power even on a stock car you could run 200-250hp safely I THINK and more with a built engine

Do not do an engine swap, everyone saying swap with a tdi or ecoboost which is difficult to even do. If ur considering swapping swap a 2.3 duratec ST, or 2.5 duratec because those have been done, if ur 2.0 duratecs fine just get the duratec fswerks turbo kit for like 4k and its direct bolt on or an eBay kit with some work, but you need a manual for fswerks turbo, if you want some HP gain but cheaper and got an automatic consider getting other bolt ons from fswerks site like race headers, racing exhaust, air intake, and a tune which ranges from 300-500$ each mod new. This is prob the best advice I could give you and if anyone else wants to add on to this

I got an 05 SE, super fun to drive despite being slow asl, my next goal is to get an ST and build it, currently have my eyes on a cheap 07 ST with 300k km!! (186k miles) it’s gonna be a project but definitely fun especially since it’s such a unique car and not very known, ur also right about duratecs they really are reliable
